Dear Councillor, Thank you for your help the other dark. The sudden appearance of this new ability had been frightening and quite unpredictable up until then.

So far I seem to have gained a small amount of control over my... for the lack of a better word "powers".

I've found I can defend myself with a small range of strange attacks in addition to becoming invisible, and also use a form of protection which I believe you've seen me use. That said... I still quite often I still find myself unable to use them at will, and occasionally I still accidentally use them without intending to. Mostly this just affects my ability to vanish, but sometimes affects some or all the other abilities too. This hasn't gotten me into trouble yet, but several times I've had to run into the nearest warded building to avoid accidental use outside.

P.S. As for the nightmares I spoke of, I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing... but little has changed since I told you of them.
