Well, it was inevitable given the march of time, but for all those oldish D&D hacks like myself, the founder of the game has passed away.

Without his imagination and arguably genius at pulling together the first widespread character-based role-playing system (all systems previous to this were military-style mass battle sims), computer games like NWN would not exist. He also heavily contributed to the rich world of D&D, including drafting many of the original monsters, etc.
A sad day, let's keep him in mind next time we log on.
