Laura was an amazing PC, sad to see her go.  We will all be poorer without her!

General Discussion / Re: The MMOization of EFU

I think RWG's points are well made.  Granted, as one I play one of the few characters who does not go adventuring I don't have a huge stake in this directly but I want people to have fun and have large player populations too!  None of them decided to make a big post about their leaving so I am not going to name them, but several friends who played quite a lot and decided to stop all voiced concerns very similar to what RWG said.

Player numbers have gone down a lot and while I am sure a lot of the increase was the newness and excitement of a new setting, I think a lot of the issues that RWG raised are part of it too.  We seem to be averaging 20 to 30 players at the high point during week days now and I suspect a large part of that is that it is just OOCly difficult.  Not that the quests are too hard, but that it is difficult to "reach" the content.

An angel plucked from the world too soon :'(.  Sylvyn was an amazing character, to be missed and mourned by many!

Everyone loves a good bridge duel and they are usually very entertaining.  I propose that, when convenient and time permits, it would be neat for placeables in the canal to represent corpses, or parts of corpses, from noteable or entertaining duels, possibly to be pruned periodically as corpses rot or float away.

I do not think this has any earth shattering consequences on the server and it may not even be a great use of DM time spent editing the module, but, I think it would be neat and others would enjoy it too, while softening the blow a bit for players who recently lost a PC.  So if any DM thinks it would be neat, I would encourage them to do so!

An idea I thought might be interesting by adding more variety and uncertainty.  Perhaps in addition to spawning the Loot Ball, when it drops, it also sometimes spawns monsters or randomly players nearby with a variety of random spells?

Someone else reported that the two stalls next to each other seemed to share the same items  in their books regardless of the contents of the boxes.  I did not see that, but someone told me that happened to them.

What I can say is that the sign seemed to be resetting very rapidly this past reset and not always at the same time interval either.  I can't speculate as to why.
