Grace d'Ottaviani
Anemone Rhysling
Boar Noblestout
Annie Ashe
Leopold

Later added to this pillar by, the names

Grand Tane
Ivan Rusev

Both of the House Nephazar

The Tears of Blood pillar has subsequently been updated with their names written below the original members thusly:

Brewmaster Boar Noblestout
Annalise of Ashencourt

Suggestions / Re: Perk Suggestion Thread
October 16, 2019, 12:06:11 AM
I think the Duelist fighter perk is kind of sad nowadays. There's barely anything it does that Pit Fighter doesn't do better so I'd like to make some suggestions.

[hide=Duelist vs Pit Fighter]Both get +3 Taunt at level 1 while Duelist gets an additional +3 Parry which isn't a great skill. Both get the Dodge feat except Pit Fighter gets it sooner. Duelist gets a +1 Dodge AC vs Piercing which isn't bad but I wouldn't call it impressive either. I figure it's pretty nice to have a 10% movement speed bonus at all times. Their fighter perks are very similar where both can get +1 AB/AC under different circumstances. Pit Fighter just gets more and isn't restricted by their armor type. Sure they need to drop below 40% HP first but I'd say that's better than being locked out of fullplates.[/hide]

Level 1: Dodge feat.

I'd probably suggest this for Pit Fighter as well if they're both gonna get it but that's besides the point. It's pretty lackluster to get it at level 8 on an already feat heavy fighter and in the event you want to take mobility and spring attack it kind of sucks.

Level 5: +3 Taunt, +3 Parry, +1 Dodge AC vs Piercing.

While I may think Parry isn't great and the Dodge AC against one particular damage type isn't that impressive, they're nice things to have. The +3 Taunt is pretty solid on its own and I see no particular reason to change these perk features (I also couldn't immediately think of a good replacement).

Level 8: Create a set of dissipating potions each reset.

Every master duelist should have a cache of impressive supplies and I think something like this would be highly appropriate considering EfU's dueling scene of extreme potion chugging before slugging. How many and what they actually get would be the balancing factor.

Fighter Perk: +2 AB and +2 AC (while wearing cloth/light/medium armor) for 1 turn OR +1 AB and +1 AC (while wearing cloth/light/medium armor) for 5 turns.

I don't think the current perk is that impressive considering the armor restriction, especially considering Pit Fighter has more powerful potential without that restriction. A short burst of extreme prowess or a longer lasting boon would make up for it though I think.

Sad to see another awesome character go. What few interactions I managed to have were great and always great fun to watch from afar.

And some of the last things Verata said to Annie was don't go dying now or something. Should've taken her own advice :'(

Looking forward to what comes next.

Suggestions / Give third respawn option
October 07, 2019, 02:58:27 AM
In short, provide the additional option of respawning at your spawn point.

In case Ring 100 and the spot where you died aren't very favorable options to you.

Bug Reports / Another QA accessible without quest accepted
September 16, 2019, 11:04:14 PM
Myself and another player went to the Cave of Grandfathers (I think it's called?) and the area was accessible without accepting the quest. It was also accessible to a PC who was too high level.

Bug Reports / QA accessible without quest accepted
August 30, 2019, 10:30:02 PM
Not sure how spoilery a bug report can be but I'm gonna try keep it to a minimum.

A few of us did the Canalside Manor quest only to learn afterwards we hadn't accepted the quest despite entering the area just fine. Seemed like that wasn't working as intended.

RIP. Sad to see another great character go. Selise was a cool one and I'm gonna miss reading her journal. Looking forward to see what you do next.

Let wizards cast virtue.

Selected animal domain (and earth domain) for my cleric but ended up defaulting to earth summoning theme, making the animal domain less useful. Not sure if this is a bug but seems weird to receive a summoning theme that doesn't benefit from animal domain.

Bug Reports / Duplicate Character Names Screw Quests
August 06, 2019, 11:41:43 PM
Characters that share exact names screw with quests in a few ways. This is what's been encountered so far:

The pair of them cannot take a quest together even if the minimum party size is 2. This was encountered trying to accept the magic manor quest in Ticker Square.

If more PCs are involved and a quest is accepted, only one of them is added. In our case, the person who spoke with the NPC and received the quest token did not receive the quest in their journal. This was encountered when accepting the frog quest in the Ponds.

If one of them accepted a quest the other could not be added afterwards using the quest token. This was encountered when attempting to add one of the PCs to the kobold quest in the Ponds.

It's possible that if one PC accepts and completes a quest then the other cannot take it. This possibly occurred when one PC couldn't take the cheese rat quest in Ticker Square after the other had finished it. I wasn't able to confirm this for the bug report as I was able to accept and finish a quest that the other character had also done. In that case it was the haunted opera that worked out fine.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Re: Eryeth Cotte
August 06, 2019, 12:07:07 AM
Here's one secret of Eryeth Cotte revealed at last (with screenshots!). If anyone ever wondered why she kept talking to herself at times, here's why:

Working late alone in the basement of the Nephezar Refuge, or what?

[hide][/hide]

Just looking at herself in the mirror, wearing something new.

[hide][/hide]

A nice chat with a pet and posing in front of the mirror. Nothing unusual for a teenage girl, probably.

[hide][/hide]

Tender moment with the equally dead Ser Adrian Winespill where he had the wrong idea.

Allow casting Shelgarn's persistent blade on brooms and shovels etc. to animate them like weapons.

I think combat modes should stick until they're toggled off because having to constantly reactivating them mid-combat seems extremely tedious and unfun.

If you want to tone down expertise then just make it function like it's PnP counterpart in that the bonus armor class you gain cannot exceed your base attack bonus, with no further nerfs. Maybe make it dodge bonus as well, I don't know what exact type of AC it is by default, so when people are caught flat-footed the bonus AC is negated if they're just idling or walking around in expertise mode.

A few of us had a similar incident when entering ring 95, getting stuck on the roof above the entry transition. I've also gotten stuck inside doors around Ring 99 with no way to escape except someone opening the door. The suggested /c unstuck command or something of the sort wouldn't be a bad addition.
