When you speak with Thaumaturge Nathaniel Torromos there is an option to have him draw your blood so you can place it on the altar. This creates a blood vial in your inventory. When you place this on the vial, the npc will make some comment about the magical quality of your blood.

It looks like any blood generated by any other means (Drawing via Syringe, alchemy) lacks whatever tags or local variables that the npc conversation creates - so blood drawn for a pc by Torromos might elicit an amazed response, while blood drawn using the syringe on the same pc will always elicit a commoner or garbage response.

The same happens with dragons blood, he'll comment that he is amazed that it's dragon's blood, then call it commoners blood.

This doesn't really effect anything mechanical as far as I know... but it would be nice if the player drawn response was accurate as this sometimes drives some roleplay interactions.
