I agree with Disco, it was annoying in the UD seeing gold disappearing for ever with no visible results when tbh it would be better donated just giving it to the Faction PCs. Seeing perks for the factions who get the most money would be fun imo, although it might make it seem to much like Battle of the Dragons.

Half of the posts in the most recent PvP thread, even though the thread it's self may have been provoked by recent events, have had valid opinions from numerous players and saying that all of them are just attempts to make various attackers on past characters seem bad is plain insulting. Yes, they will have a personal view on it, just as you have a personal view starting this thread, people have, and are driven by personal views and you can't just dismiss them because you aren't happy with them.

This server is a community for the enjoyment of many and hopefully will continue to be such, and it has always appreciated player feed back. What you propose chokes this feed back and could lead to many people feeling wronged and annoyed, and, in the worst case, leave the server.

You don't have to read through all the rants and ravings, and the valid opinions and views of people if you don't want to but there are plenty of people who will read them and respond, be it helpfully or not and there seems to be no good reason to cut of this line of contact from individual players and the community at large.

If people have a problem with something that happened, they should be allowed to air it. If its ridiculous, then it will likely be trolled to death but, as with the most recent PvP post, good things may come of it. A lot of people it seems want to see more RP and less FD and so things may change due to the topic and I really don't see whats wrong with that.

Fine, a number of the posts will spawn from specific grievances, but if we can find something in those instances that are seen as bad, or wrong, then I feel it's a good thing. Normally, people don't get annoyed if their PC dies a good death, and, fine, not every PC can have a good death, but if things can be worked so more and more players opt out of FDing until the circumstances and reasons are solid then there are gonna be more happy players, and more prolonged rivalries, both good things.

The general topics whole point is for people to say what they want, and if we're gonna ban people putting forth their honest opinions, they it kind of defeats the point of the forum.

I'm thinking of starting to gather a huge Helmite following so could use some Fighters and stuff.

We have magical sendings, ogres and goblins and various other things and when we were in the underdark we all lived in a massive machine. Newspapers aren't that much of a strech to have in the setting and I think would be great especialy for people who aren't on that much or have to be away for a week or two.

Its nothing like the guards having "IG to IRC cell phones", it's just the same as many have said, as the sending system being broadcasted on the IRC channel but it allows those who need an Armsman to be able to get one IG and this is especialy useful for new players and players who don't use IRC or know who plays the armsmen and the like.

As far as I know, you have to do something to get certain summoning themes though don't you, through ic persuits?
