I am going to make an unpopular suggestion that many will dissaprove of.

Too me it is very immersion breaking when I hear PCS describe engaging in activities that generate conflict as somehow less risky of going on quest stomping. This has created an environment of double think that I myself have partaken in.    

When I hear someone tell a PC that angering other PCS is somehow more dangeorus then the career of raiding entire dungeons of monsters I think it is absurd, and for a better phrase in Swedish. Jävligt efterbliven.


I say that we implement a cap on the number of times a PC can respawn. After 4-6 deaths make it mandatory for PCS to have a raise or ressurection. Make it a risk to go out cruising the underdark alone, make it a risk to go quest stomping with the wrong group. You literally are going to have to trust they wont just loot your corpse, and bury you somewhere!    

Make it so when a PC dies on certain quests he is just effectively out of the quest until a raise, and even cause it to make some PCS pack up or have the dilemma of carrying a heavy body around. (I also suggest on particularly long, and challenging quests drop some 1 charge raise dead items that dissapear on reset like the candle.)  


I say we bring EFU, adventuring, and questing to a new age on EFU. I believe this will fundamentally transform the server culture.

I am seeing that Communism has once again affected the server. Allow me to retort to the recent shout, and my two cents. I am an American, and will exert my historic 1st Ammendment right to freedom of Speech. Fortunately everyone was protected by this right except the godless Communists we locked up for being Communists, and talking Communism.

DOC "If a character in the story is  facing death in the eye, and about to die do you stay there silent, do you beg for mercy? Do you beg for death?" Do you do anything to save your skin?  Or do you just scream obscenities at your captor, and then wonder why he killed you?" He makes you an offer of working with him or facing death? Do you decide to potentially change the development of your character or do you just prompt that person to kill you????

LOGIC!
Plenty of random people/characters in books, and stories are killed purely for the soul development of the antagonist of the story. The Captain of the Rebel ship talking to Vader, and killed for not disclosing information ring a bell? Could he have developed into a future leader of the Rebel alliance????!?!?!!?!?  Could one of the Orcs killed by Aragon been a future warlord for Sauron seeking vengeance? This argument can be invalidated by basic literature, and who is to say PCS should be above the earlier short lived characters that are killed purely for the development of another villain in the story?






Final message

I encourage all people to be vigilant, and take a stand against Communist suggestions. Be it from any Player or member of the DM team. I encourage players to seriously think when they are subdued, and to not expect mercy when your character acts in a manner that says the following.

1 I will definitely come back with a gank squad of all my buddies, and FD you.

2 I will go to Law Enforcement PCS, and they will lock you up, because I cannot keep my mouth shut about you killing someone with me.

3 I totally do not give a fuck, and am going to disrespect this guy who is capable of just killing me #YOLO #SWAG #DONT GIVE A FUCK!!!!!!

4 I am a monster or have done an extremely evil act widely condemned such as animate the dead, I am a divine agent of Cyric or another god of extreme evil, Summon demons, and devils into this plane, and make the world a darker, and evil place.  I should not have played such an evil bastard who even Evil people will kill just to appear as functioning members of society.

5 I am a goody two shoes, and I am a Paladin who will not lose faith I am oath bound by divine rights to eventually kill you. Perhaps I should choose life over my ridicules ideology, Or I should have not played a Paladin or a divine agent of goodness!

Confessions Of a Noob

I remember when I first logged into EFU in chapter a noob. I was quickly overwhelmed by how vast the setting was, and my knowledge of the Forgotten realms was pathetic. I was challenged outside the city gates, and mysteriously killed by the other persons magic eaters.....10 Minutes after I logged in I had died. Thanks to the kindness of a DM I was raised......


I then continued my noobish ways ignoring attributes like having 8 Charisma. I found myself engaging in approved, and allowed unsupervised pvp in Lower Sanctuary even being beaten up by Wcsherry's goblin priest of Maglbuyet. I was noobified a noob in a big gigantic world amazed, and unaware of what was around me.      


I attempted a robbery within an inn room at the pissing crone, and found myself accidentally recruited into a plot of epic proportions. I had become a thug for a devil cult, and assisted in the murder of another cult. I was involved with high profile PCS who would later become political leaders I was a noob, and unaware of who I was ultimately dealing with. I then found myself tricked, and murdered in revenge.    


You will find yourself in a strange server where your actions can make everlasting change in the setting, and the story. Yes even as a confused noob you can alter EFU history forever.


In the end I did not understand the scope of what I had taken part in, but this was my first character, and first interaction with EFU. For the many people coming into EFU I sympathize, and can answer questions, and give any new players tips.  

I now find myself distant from EFU, but ever watching as I linger on in darkness and in doubt. As nightfall in winter that comes without a star. As the frozen winter of Scandinavia comes forth.

I think once, and for all a flaw I noticed on every setting was that food was made to be this big deal......Yet no PC was required to eat. Food would grow scarce, and all these NPCS would complain yet PCS were unaffected by this food shortage.

I say make food, drink, and rest all things a PC needs, and if a PC lacks them then they should get stats drained, and eventually die of hunger, first, or a lack of sleep. Its time we the PCS feel any affect of a food shortage.

In my interview for studying abroad I got told at the interview that my application showed the signs of a good storyteller. I give 100% of this credit to EFU thank u guys.

A long time ago in the grand days of EFU there was a forum for preludes. Dms could post them, and pcs could post prelude ideas, and then a Dm decides if they'd be willing to host it.

You know even though its an IG thing on weather your character is mean or not....I just had the urge to post it on the forums to remind everyone. Nobody likes meanies, and its kind of mean, and bad to my character when they are mean to them.....Especially when you decide to make comments about their weight....So can we all stop being mean to one another IC? Because sometimes when there are IG problems I feel the need to post them up, and make ooc requests rather then handle them IG.

I see no reason why I, or some other brilliant visionary cant spike some adventurers common potion supplies with drugs. I think this should be implemented immediately.

One need only look at EFU and the real world to make this conclusion.

I think pure wizards could use some perks. Seeing that everyone else is getting perks may as well show the wizards some love.

Dangerous Dan is an Epic player and an Epic Dungeon Master. I remember the days when he operated the servers first and only stew shop.

Its DM Derf's Birthday an awesome dude who is now a DM. I remember my many awesome adventures with his LOL chars like Sluglick and Scumbar.

A total of 73 people answered the poll of the genders we concluded the following answered.


52 Men

7 Women

7 Transgender's

7 Confused about their sexual identity.

Surprisingly Transgender and the gender confused combined outnumber women. However EFU is still disproportionately male. Also it is possible that a number of trolls entered Transgender and confused category. But the Census data pretty much showed EFU to be virtually all male.


And that concludes the EFU Census report. However further investigations should be done on what attracted the transgender, and confused genders.

I say it needs to be a mission for this server to attract more new players. I say increase the amount of players that can log in as well as to make missions to get more people logging in.

This server needs new blood and new role players. I think players need to go out to other roleplay servers and attract them to this one. Efu is by far the best roleplay server and we should make it a mission to attract every serious dedicated roleplayer.


Therefore I say that EFU have some kind of mission to attract more new players, and allow the server to hold as much people as it possibly can. Lets face it the more the merrier. We as players and DMS have to make it a mission to get more people interested in EFU.          


I would like to see feedback on what other people think of this idea. More players=more roleplay=more plotting=more flavor. I am wondering what exactly the EFUM community of players and DMS plan to do in order to attract more players to this server.

I am putting in a suggestion that by far will be the biggest revolution to EFUM. I say password protect the server, give all current registered forum members a PMED password. Make it also clear in the description that a password can be gotten.


Require an application to play on this server. This will reduce the influx of new players as well as keep out griefers, trolls, and spammers who log into this server. It will also reduce the number of noobs. While it wont put a complete halt to new players  it would ensure we are getting the best.


I say keep the noobs out and implement this suggestion.

I am doing an official Census to see the gender of the players of this server. A discussion on IRC inspired me to do this. Just answer the survey you need not reveal who you are.

DRD might be leaving the server entirerly Mid August. However the mist will still be around. If I start having wierd halucinations/visions. I know who to blame. So in a sense ill be leaving a place of mist IG to a place of mist RL. Very, very strange.












Behold the mist that DRD will be around RL. Will we have crazy visions? Will I become an RL prophet? Only time will tell.
