Suggestions / Moil/Drydock Minor Suggestions Thread
June 01, 2022, 11:08:06 PM

  • A Merchant Stall for the Moil
Having one in the corner near the fire would add a ton of roleplay opportunities. Maybe moving one of the player low level solos near it would be a welcome addition as well!

  • Doorkeeper somewhere inside of the Drydock-
Perhaps - exposed allowing for alternative outcast bronze-sendings that don't gotta be down on ratraft land!

Post thoughts, and any other suggestions folk have!

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Falric the Deserter
April 08, 2021, 03:15:43 AM

Bearing the great shame of desertion of the Silver March, Falric found service within House Nephezar, serving as a mentor and guardian of the Torncloak. He thought to redeem himself as a worthy man in the eyes of his God, the Lord Departed. The message resonated with the old soldier, as he thought great crimes were done on his behalf. He thought through virtuous action that he may yet redeem those men that died upon the mountain, and his dear cousin Marwyn.

Eventually, his hour came to prove virtuous, he stood inside of the arena and stood to save another man's life, but yet the axe blade struck true into Falric and he was brought low into the dirtied cobble.

Not going to show the stats, but a decent scimitar! The flavor is all that matters in these regards!

Not a ton of screenshots, a short-lived fellow!

He left the Weald, looking for his lost bloodhound Rufus - he never truly found him though - the whereabouts of one said Rufus are still in question!

An honor-bound, traditionalist huntsman of the Peerage. Falconer lived by specific codes and felt honor was one of the most important things that a man may hold to pride.  He admired the hunting might of House Orza as a man that spent many years within the forests, he joined them. Slowly, Falconer realized the men around him were not the same as him. Through orders and acts; his honor and pride that he held so dear were cut low by men whom he once regarded with respect. - and a terrible act was done which shook the Retainer to his very core.

He fought in the heroic twenty, and considered Ser Parias a friend, he started to see House Glitt as more suitable for himself, but his honor would not allow him to abandon the oaths he took.

An internal conflict was risen within House Orza because of Falconer, he wished to see his fellow retainers hold to some form of his own pride and standards which he held so dearly.

Defeat, after defeat - beaten on three occasions Falconer was brought low and much of his pride in shambles - he requested that last moment upon the bridge to hold onto one shred of pride he had remaining.

Honestly, the first time I ever gave Ranger a shot, I liked it - I made some mistakes and learned a lot! I'm really happy that Canadian got a few cool wins in, that guy definitely deserves it, and I got to give this character a nice sendoff.  - however, winning would've been cool too!

I didn't get a ton of screenshots, no real loot to speak of on him, had a cool orzan axe though, and showed EFU I can play something besides male pattern baldness merchant lad.

Ichalard was often accredited as opportunistic, weak, and self-serving; Evrart Ichalard's redeeming trait was his ability to BUY and SELL. A follower of Phanax. He started in Tickertowne as a street merchant, failing to start a company of sellswords - he found that the Peerage was giving valuable trade deals to him which was profiting him far more.  Ever led by profit, Evrart took a fealty-scar, in hopes of more power & wealth. He turned on Phanax and Tickertowne, the home of his family, the god of his father. Quickly he found that his only merit to playing the games of Lords was his ability to make groat, and that alone. Evrart only spoke the language of Tickertowne - Groat.
Eventually, he led himself to enlist under Lady Sunpurse promising to fulfill her debts whole, as a simple Burgage merchant he had very little sway that he so desired. Evrart was known to be against the Tickertowne Patriots venomously and constantly would find himself at odds with them. Now, with the death of his nephew, Garrick Ichalard and the passing of his friend Heigrac Gosweald, Evrart's mind started to fragment to the conspiratorial and plotted to make himself greater than what he was.

"To reassert my rule, I sought out unscrupulous men skilled in the application of force. Tight-lipped and terrifying, these mercenaries brought with them a war machine of terrible implication.

Eager to end the tiresome domestic distraction, I instructed my newly formed militia of hardened bandits, brigands, and killers to go forth and do their work. Compliance and order were restored, and the noisome population of the Hamlet was culled to more manageable numbers. "

Proprietor of the Groatcloak Sellswords,
Guildmember of the Square
President of Sloan Enterprises and Venture
... first orzan dwarf, for ten minutes, I guess. However, I yield the title if another dwarf gets it and holds it more then ten minutes.
lover of cheese
literally greedman of ticker square

Love him, hate him, Hero of the Square?
Traitor of the Square?
I gotta say, this has been my best EFU PC. I did so much merchanting, deals, deals deals Prolly some of the best stuff I got involved with, a huge group of supportive, great PCs. We all aligned with this idea, even did a drug ring inside of Ticker Square, huge thanks to DM Skillfocus, and DM Vlaid for all the help, too many honorable mentions to even think about, but an impactful character that touched at the heart of COR. I can't believe how things ended, and no way was I coming back in after that. I do have to mention Thoralf, Vor, and Isiden, Dawasir as absolute BROS.

Note, terrible at screenshots. Missed the part when Sloan ordered his boys to attack Krown in the Whisperers, bunch of other moments.

Sloan Enterprises and Ventures-
Industries, Corporations, Profiteering, Conglomerate Building , Greedy Merchanting, Sellswords, Ash Cannery
Alignment: Evil Prefered.
Races: All Standard Races Accepted, others upon roleplay, preferred dwarven.
Evil Aligned Ticker Square Faction

I. Profiteering until death. Profits at any expense, regardless of the consequences. The goal of this group is to evict, tear down and destroy the Charity Hall, and in its place build a grand "Ash Cannery" using a cheap laborforce from the displaced denizens and children of the Charity Hall. Hidden goals exist within this group made known to those that gain its trust.

II. Backroom negotiating, deal-making, wealth used to expand upon wealth, and political power, use of thieves, criminals and underworld to exert influence over the Square.

III. Guards, Mercenaries, Sellswords, anything used to wield power, those that work within the corporation work to bring new industry, and new power within Ticker Square. This appeals mostly to evil-aligned due to the disregard of any consequences to it's industrial goals. This fits inventors looking to combine magic and Steamworks together, rough sellswords, dark twisted magicians, merchants and those looking to expand their political power within Ticker Square!

Currently looking for more people to be organized into this conglomerate.

DM Kaedweni_Knight on Discord or @ me! Thanks guys for the read/interest

Royland Wayne Blacks,
Guildmember,
Partner of the Krown,
Tribune of the Square
Scummy Moneylender
Alcoholic

Had a great ride, it was a -very- lame way to die (tabbed in and I was dead in the Door! Lol) but I've lost a lot of characters in the past. Royland was fun to play, I impacted a ton of people, wielded some political power, and even got immortalized in the server in a way ;)

Thanks everyone that I interacted with, I had a fun time with everyone. The scenes were real, Royland was always gunning for more political power, more intrigue, and made promises just like any other politician. Crowning was working a month on those stalls to get that 20k to join the guild, after that.. it was dead for a little while, but then Skillfocus came along and added in a ton of intrigue with the help of others, Royland was fun to play in the backrooms working to push the trade deal through, tons of bribes, murders, and political moves. I never once had to really engage in any big PvP. I had a ton of fun just roleplaying, merchanting and scheming inside of the square.

After that, he got a sweet deal to join as Krown's partner. It was an awesome run, I got to play a lot of stuff that most PCs never got too. Thanks everyone who was involved with me, and the character.  Special mentions to Zytum, Bio,  NND, Gull, Yousef, Bucklebeak, Selena.

Description: Blacks & Co. has a "mixed" reputation within the Ticker's Square for predatory loans, hard business deals, and shrewdness in "contracts" almost any service or business venture is not below Blacks & Co. with some small restrictions. They keep under their employ a group of men, size, and intimidation preferred of half-orcs, thieves, former bandits, and some sellswords. These men are the ones that make sure folk "pay" back. However, loans are not the only services offered. -

Various trinkets, objects, weaponry, and an assortment of healing supplies too are hawked on the square by the small company of like-minded men. However, the company is careful not to cross paths with any of the significant merchant leaders in the square with their businesses, knowing the power and dealings of monopolies unmolested. The leader of the company, Royland Blacks has strong aspirations to one day join the ranks of the Guildmasters of the square, and hold property within the square itself. He has shown himself to staunchly align with the interests of the Merchant Guild, and the square itself.
Alignment: Evil preferred, however, any alignment will work.
Group Motifs: Nasty Loansharks, Sellswords, Minor Ring running, "Contracted" Banditry, Underworld, Criminality, Ticker Square aligned, Politics & more.
