We offer Greetings from the Grand Duke of Il Modo, Nicodemo Nicosino, and his Council of Five, to the settlement of Ephia's Well -

Long have we known of your Well, of its intriguing and difficult history, and of the great miracles of its waters. We note the arrival to your walls of an abundance of refugees and other settlers, escaping the Storms of Ash, and all the many other Calamities of the southern Ringlands.

We believe that it would be to great mutual advantage, to begin to discuss closer relations, so that we might learn from each other, and see where there could be areas of possible future cooperation.

We have therefore, instructed our Scouts, to bring you this message of greetings, and to further invite you to undertake a diplomatic mission to Il Modo; and indeed to be granted the opportunity of an audience with the Grand Duke himself, and his Council of Five.

Our Scouts and Emissaries will make themselves available to assist in coordinating the difficult journey, to come first to the shore of the Sea of Pearls, and from there our Pilot-Priests will safely sail you to our beautiful home of Il Modo.

Our request is as follows:
That the Legates of Ephia's Well appoint an official Emissary, duly invested with all appropriate responsibilities and authority, and that this Emissary lead this mission. This Emissary might be a Legate, should one be willing to undertake such a difficult journey, or an otherwise appointed representative.

That this Emissary be accompanied by a few appointed Attendants, such as you believe appropriate.

That these Emissaries and Attendants likewise be joined by at least one Representative from each member of your Accord: that is, from your Astronomers, from your Cinquefoil Rose, and from your Janissaries of the IV Legion.

That the total number of your Diplomatic Mission not exceed the number of twelve, for the vessel that will be prepared for your journey is not overly commodious.

We ask that this mission be undertaken in but a few days time. [[Hoping for Sunday around 8:00 PM GMT]]

Il Modo awaits with great anticipation the expected arrival of the mission from Ephia's Well.

We are certain the wonders of the Floating City shall not disappoint.
