I awoke, finding myself in a bed with my sunburnt skin wrapped in salve soaked linens. My thirst quenched, my body in pain, and my strength weakened. Death and the desert did not claim me.

Eshaal, my healer and teacher, along with her followers found me in the wastelands. My skin badly burned and cracked. I had lied to myself, my survival depended on the survival of my mother, but this was untrue. My mother had died some time ago, and I dragged her corpse with me across the desert sands believing I would save her and myself if I continued on. I did not come to know this immediately, but once my body was healed and my mind returned Eshaal revealed the truth to me. I cannot explain the myriad of emotions I experienced that day, but I remember Eshaal helped me find peace.

Eshaal over the course of our travels would teach me many things. She would provide me with a passion for art in the form of tattooing people. She would unlock within me a hidden well of magical power, and teach me how to wield arcane magics. She would show me the world still have much to offer, and the Goddess Gellema would provide a way  to these.

So many wonders... 

Hello Bruno,

I've been working on your tattoo and I think I finally have the design right for either a back piece or a smaller chest piece. I've included a sketch of the design in the letter. Please let me know what you think, and yes I'm still working on the head of the axe. Perhaps their is something you would like to include or a certain design?

Just estimating the time and materials to make this happen, you'll be paying 500 dinars for the chest and 800 for the back.

How unrelenting the heat of the Sun, it pains the eyes, burns the flesh, and saps away our water and strength. Mother and I continue forward, each step a war against Death, but Death is patient. Death lingers out of the corners of our vision stalking his prey.

Soon we will shall perish, and where we falls will be our tomb. The ever changing sands shall erase us from this world and we shall cease to be a thought.

My thoughts and Death be damned.

It happened, a fight among the men and the survivors. We had just found shelter, a small amount of supplies, and a collection of jars of water. We were all tired, hungry, and dehydrated. It started with cheers of happiness and hope, but ended screams and terror. Swords clashed against clubs, knives stabbed into flesh, and spells blinded and burned. I lay over my mother to protect from the onslaught as tears streamed down my cheeks. We had just found shelter, food, and water only to turn on one another.

Those who survived would die. There wounds were not mortal but grievous and soon infection would set in poisoning the blood. How long did we stayed there caring for the weak and dying.

We push forward, I won't let this be our graves.

The howling cold winds causing the sands to las out against my little pieces of exposed skin I do not cover. I drag my mother on a litter but with each step the weight of her because more of a burden, and my group waits for no one. I know what I will do or what I should do... gods I plead to you for guidance and for strength. This world was abandoned by gods, none shall hear my pleas.

What shall I do?

The group, if you can call it a group is smaller by five. Two men, one woman, and two children died last week. No matter how much we boil the water it continues to poison us. Many of us are with fever or our stomachs rot from within. I'm sure this sickness will be the death of us. My mother is not well, and grows weaker by the day. Hopefully we will find some shelter and clean water soon.

I'm so tired. 

Would it be possible to get a training dummy in the starting area?

A worn and tattered journal, the leather covered splashed with various shades of black ink with numerous finger prints about the still supple cover. Inside are the contents of a young woman and tattoo artist's thoughts, feelings, goals, and drawings. Perhaps you shouldn't be peering into the private life of the woman, but a peek couldn't hurt, right?

We've travelled for days! The sun and unrelenting heat are almost to much to bare. Marc says we are getting close to a fortified outpost in the wastes, but I've watched them all nervously talk amongst themselves in hushed tones for several nights. My lips are parched, my tummy grumbles, and my body aches. Mom says as long as we stay with Marc we will be ok and we should have nothing to fear.

It feels more dangerous every night. I'll try not to worry, I'll try to be strong for mom, but even if Marc was dad's most trusted friend, I don't trust him now.

 

A fond memory of mine is when Abala was playing Abala Quickfeet, and tolerated my character writing an article on her for the Duskmore Observer. I can't remember who paid me off to write the article, but it was during some political hijinks. It was a fun moment in time, and I appreciated it greatly as a player.

You also did what I never had the patience to do, learn coding. I consider it an amazing feat you were able to teach yourself coding, and became the coder you are for EFU.

The sheer amount of work you've put into both v5 and v6 is astounding, and is more then deserving of appreciation and so much more. I look forward to seeing what you create next.

Hat's off to you RwG, truly as masterclass in EFU politics! It was always great to interact with Sol Auk with Petro, before and after joining the Scribes. One of the best characters I think you've ever created, and you've created a lot over the years. Cheers, and may your next one be even more successful!

I had a strange feeling Isabella would join the deceased while I was far away from playing Petro. Isabella was truly a heart breaking character, and Petro had a very special relationship with her, even going so far as to keep Petro in the dark about everything. She was incredibly caring and compassionate towards others, and was likely killed by some horrifying monster.

An amazing character that I got the chance to interact with on several occasions. I hope in the future I will get to interact with your future characters as well. Cheers!

The Office of Voiced Affairs is proud to announce the formation of the Clerk of Population Census, Scribe Petro Anders.

What is the Census?

     The Census is being put into place in order to track the growing needs of Ephias Well Voiced and Unvoiced inhabitants. As our population grows, so do its needs, and its responsibilities to provide adequate protection, charitable support, and equal opportunities to thrive within the community.

How can you help complete the Census?

     There is a questionnaire in place and with this questionnaire we are able to collect the data required to see our community grow and flourish. We ask you to answer the questionnaire to the best of your abilities. We understand there may be some barriers to you completing a questionnaire, but Scribe Petro Anders is there to assist through the process. Schedule a time to meet with him and he will take down your answers and get you set up as one the proud Voiced and Unvoiced to have contributed to the cities growth and development.

How is the data going to be used?

     That is a great question! The census data will allow us to identify the needs of the community and how we can address them through the Assembly and Budget. Many of you are skilled in a trade and we would like to see our trade workers flourish in Ephias Well as we can direct the budget to assist in craftsmen and skilled builders in refortifying the walls of Ephias Well and expanding beyond. This is just one example on how the census will allow the people to have opportunities outside of joining some mercenary group or devoting themselves to an organization.

What are the questions the Census will be asking?

     Much of this information has already been provided when you were issued your chips, but we will need to ask you the more mundane questions such as: Name, Alias, Birth date, Male or Female, Race, Skills, and Past and Current trade. Other questions will help us estimate the needs of the City, such as: Skills, Past and Current Trade, League Affiliation, Organization Affiliation, Estimated weekly income, Estimated monthly income, Properties owned, Brief description of self, and request. 

What if you do not want to participate in the Census?

     I am sorry you do not want to participate but there is a way for you to avoid submitting the requested information. First, contact Scribe Petro Anders, he will be able to sit down and provide you with the available options to refuse participation or to omit certain questions of the Census.

Can I complete the Census with another Scribe?

     At this time, no. Scribe Petro Anders will be providing training to the other Scribes in due time, and once they are ready to collect data we will announce which Scribes are available to collect Census data. Until then, please see all questions and concerns sent to Scribe Petro Anders.
