The redesigned areas in Dunwarren look very neat.  They are well designed and interesting!

How about a player tool that can be used to draw chalk outlines or marks on open rock?  It could be used to create placeables which read something like "An arrow points to the northeast" or something to that effect.  If clicked, a dialogue window comes up to ignore it or "wipe away the chalk" or "scratch out the mark".  This could be used by people for tricks and shenanigans, or to let people following behind where to go.

It should also state that it should not be used in "city" areas and should not be spammed.

Add a second feat which modified or removes the experience cost, if you are level 7 or higher.  This way higher levels can brew potions without giving up their precious XPs which are worth a lot more at higher levels.  It could be linked to something like say, skill focus: lore.  Brew potion is still a regular prerequisite.

Isabelle was a fantastic character.  I can't wait to see what you come up with next but man, she will be missed.

My stupidity score is too high to ever redeem my honor.

I quit EFU.

Also, unrelated, I and Fauxnews would like to announce our engagements!  Invitations to follow via PMs.

Can we get a rough breakdown on which automated functions count towards lameness / cowardice / stupidity?

We clashed in game but man, Yastin was an awesome character to interact with!  The Underdark will be far darker without him!

Humans or dwarves may be the "optimal" fighter race from a mechanical  standpoint, how about some race-specific fighter perks to help encourage  fighters of other races?

Does anyone have any ideas on what they could be like?  The mechanical  benefits could probably use some tweaking, any other theme ideas?

Halfling Sheriff
Not all halflings are whimsical or stealthy, an ancient tradition of  halfling sheriffs have long kept halfling-kind safe.  You carry on that  tradition, having fought to defend a halfling village or town in the  past, standing at the forefront when others flee.

Level 1: +4 saving throw v fear.
Level 5: +1 AB shortsword, hammer or handaxe.  May not dual wield.
Level 8: 1 AB shortsword, hammer or handaxe.  May not dual wield.

Elven Swordsman
Many stories are told of the sylvan, dextrous fighting styles of the  elven people and some believe this is how all elves fight.  Such stories  neglect places such as Myth Drannor and Evermeet, where stout elves  have stood tall, sword and shield in hand and heavy armor upon their  backs, trained over long centuries to fight any who dare challenge the  elven people.  Your character represents the martial tradition of  heavy-elven infantry.

Level 1: +2 v disease, +2 discipline, +2 concentration.
Level 5: +1 AB with longsword.  May not duel wield.
Level 8: +2 damage with longsword.  May not dual wield.

Gnomish Miner
In places such as Waterdeep, gnomes are often thought of as tinkerers  and toy makers.  This neglects the great history of gnomish miners who  have dug deep into the depths of the earth, seeking to unlock the  earth's treasures.  Your character can use a warhammer or a mining pick  to remove a gem from earthen stone or the head of a kobold with equal  skill.

Level 1: +5 Mining Skill.  +2 AB v Kobold.  +2 AB v Goblins.
Level 5: +1 AB, +1 damage for warhammer or mining pick(waraxe).
Level 8:  Bonus Feat:  Cleave

Quote from: Holy Hand Grenade;425314To me, this really seems like something that would be best handled in-game!
Quote from: GoldLover;425306I am afraid that this may be met with a  response of "If you don't like it, change it!" I have two responses to  that.  First, as explained above, it should not be something PCs have to  change because allowing this sort of illegal action breaks the realism  of the campaign setting.  Second,  this issue is too difficult for any  single PC to change, short of assassinating other PCs which is a rather  silly way to achieve this goal.
I am taking it as a given that NPCs should intervene if PCs openly defy the authority of the state, which I am suggesting is what has happened with each travel ban.

Given that, I do not see this as a "handle it in game" issue.  The DMs are busy doing awesome things like running quests, player plots and intrigues and I fear this has fallen off the radar.  I believe the NPCs should intervene and have not, so it is not a "handle in game" issue.  I am hoping that by highlighting the issue, it may raise its important on the DM radar, so the NPCs may intervene?

That is a plausible explanation, but I do not believe that is actually true.  I know the first two times, that was not the case and I do not know for sure, but am pretty sure that is not the case for this time.  Ambitious, very well played PCs managed to do it by using the power of their office to enforce it by punishing those who defied them, along with persuading other PCs to follow along or at least not challenge them.   If the Directorate wanted to ban travel to Lower, they just would, they have the power after all.

The travel ban openly defies the power of the state and is not the sort of thing I think would be allowed in an orderly, authoritarian society.  When it happens, I feel like the NPCs have just... disappeared, it really breaks the sense of immersion.  Sanctuary does not HAVE to be Orderly and Authoritarian of course, there is no reason it cant change, things happen, places change, but if the city is still Orderly and Authoritarian, I feel like the NPCs should intervene.

Is this still a thing?  These lunatics who think they can actually beat the Red and Black?

Actually, yes!  And we are growing!  Find us in game ideally or if you want to make a new PC, find us in IRC in #golddiggers !
