Screen Shots & Obituaries / BAD TOM WAS HERE
November 25, 2020, 09:27:22 AM
My first Obit!

A nod to my other PCs that didnt get one but maybe should have: (V4: Manyfaces, Jen'isand Rul, Bidithak Ishthix, Eniash Diskanya,)  ( V5: Kowl Rhavan, Druss Irontone, Bruhklan Gearshatter, Ahm Lobhadh. )

Bad Tom was born to the Clan  Lochlan in the Highlands of Ring 94. Given to constant drinking and fighitng in his youth, the clan elders dubbed him with his namesake moniker. He had served Lord Glitt before, working under William Coldshanks of Findlay's Glen, but was forcibly retired when he got on the bad side of Steward Skudge. Upon hearing the Steward had finally been ousted, and finding his supply of drinking coin drastically low, Bad Tom decided it was time re join the Noble and Aulde House of Glitt.

Soon after he arrived he met Valatina of Glitt, Blessed of the Waters, who converted him to her faith. Skeptical though he was of faith in general, upon her death attemptng to lift a curse from Dorian Raventree he pledged to carry her faith onward when he returned her legendary sword to The Waters.

He was then witness to the death of the first Moonspear Champion, and the taking of Isabela as the new Champion.

He did some things. Tried to help out in the Tourney. Watched Gawen die and more...One of which was stumble upon a battle between Eupraxia and the God of the Renunciation. The Razor Web. No pics sry ;)

He also.... earned a KILT.

Bought a weapon for a rediculous price that definitely did not turn out to be a cursed item cherished by a certain sleepy god.

Did his best to make big daddy Bernard proud.

And died alongside allies with his weapon in hand... which was all he truly wanted in life.

We are down to three retainers! Thomas, Dougal, and Tristan! A few great plots and plenty of conflict going right now we are a part of, come join the fun!

This seems to be working now, but the cloak model is incorrect. It is not a "hidden" cloak as intended and described on the item.

The Findlay's Glen area has a few campfires but PCs are unable to rest near them. There is also no merchant that sells food/oil. This makes it a bit frustrating for PCs who decide to Set Spawn to Findlay's.

Potentially relevant is work done by a few players IC to help settlement efforts in the Glen and establish some mercantile presence as well. (Thomas MacLochlan, Etzio & the Rough Cuts, Desir, Tarn Horacio etc)

Seems to be an issue with an item in Glitt Favor Shop (Glitt Warding Cloak, Hidden). Item requires Generic Favor rather than Peerage Favor

PS I have some Relics suited to War, Water, and Air

House Glitt is seeking PCs of all types to join us in shenanigans and quite possibly some malarkey as well.

Current PCs: Thomas MacLochlan, William Mason, Dougal Maclaren

(All of us are melee focused non-caster classes that tend to use 2h weapons. A shieldbearer, mage, cleric, rogue or bard would be a great fit. )

We are forming up a Ringrunning crew to explore deeper into the City in search of answers, gold, glory, and many other things!

There are also quite a few interesting Glitt related plots being pushed by DMs that would certainly be a blast to participate in,  some of which will be in the 99th and some of which will require some ringrunning as well as a few based around Findlay's Glen in Ring 94.

Come join the good ol' boys of Glitt and help raise this once storied House back to Honor and Prominence.

Check out this awesome post by Forum Archlord RwG for a peek at the history and legacy of House Glitt. They are far more than just a bunch of sloppy drunk louts, especially after their recent makeover following the efforts of PCs like Geno and Mairead.

There is great potential for a wide breadth of characters and a rich underlying story that can be the foundation for some great experiences IG.

Plus you get to wear a kilt.

Ps: Keep in mind typical Glitt Alignments (NG, LG, CG, CN).  Message @glyph on discord with any questions!
