Forgive me if this is all badly written and of course, the obit won't be as great as most other peoples. Firstly, a thank you to TheCisco for the awesome screenshots she had taken of Run along the way.

I wouldn't say Run was very powerful, but he definitely had a lot more power in him than my last major PC, Allistar. Run has definitely taken the cake for me with my most enjoyable PC, partly because of his death, which I believe was well done with everyone involved.

A special thank you goes to every druid, who helped shape and turn Run from a child to a man-child. Sunspyre, Ishraq, and Sunpurse also all get a shout out for those heart-racing and tense moments with Run. Thirdly, my main man Bearic for helping and dealing with my ass for the Krokloz plot.

Backstory
[hide]Run was only seventeen. He was quite literally a child in my eyes. Someone with a boyish nature added to the bleak harshness of the Ponds. Every now and then he mentioned he had spent seven turnings hiding within the forests of the Weald. When he was ten, his home was burned down by people he later thought to be Moonspear Retainers. This left a deep hatred of retainers within him until he came across an Archer within the forest. The archer had been injured while he was hunting and the boy stayed with him for multiple nights. The archer told him of a Peerage where everyone was united against one thing, with a few outliers. Run looked to this man and believed him, his hatred for Retainers washed away. He would never come to find out what happened to this strange archer, but he did often describe his bow. One of crystal and ivory, who's arrows never missed. After the archer and Run parted ways, Run made his way to Willowgrove Park.[/hide]

The promise to J'Heck
[hide]The man who took Run in and gave him a home, Scars was a big influence on the boys early time in the Ponds. One day, when the Pallid threatened to attack, Scars told Run to stay behind in the Ponds and protect it in his absence. The next time Run would see Scars was when Scars was being hanged. Run decided to take it upon himself to honor the man's last wish, and to retrieve the blade he held.

Krokloz Reborn
[hide]After recovering Krokloz, a sword passed down within the Druids, Run sought to finish what was stared with the first wielder. He ventured deep into the earth for a ritual to complete the sword. With the girl he vowed to protect above all others, they fought tooth and nail against creatures of the earth and Mists. The girl was wounded severely, which caused Run to go into a sort of rampage, the first of only a few. Afterwards, the two were trapped within and Run had to muster all of his strength to make a path through the crumbled earth around him.

Everything else that was major I think?
[hide]Run never really made an attempt to hide that he was a changeling. Which eventually caused his death. Instead he tried to prove to others that there was a difference between Changeling and Student. This was an attempt to protect Elke, though he would never admit it. He opposed the Winter Court, trying to prolong the warm weather as he viewed Winter to not be harmful to the ponds, but to the Peerage as well. He also was a part of the force fighting back Yevethax, staying behind to make sure that everyone could get out.

Some of the Hijinks Run did:
[hide]
Had a suit made for a Peerage party and even attended:

Offered mysteriously appearing pretzels to a former Blackjack:

Sparred random people in the shivering cold of the Ponds:

And many more that I didn't screenshot 'cause I'm a bad person!
[/hide]

The End.
[hide]I'm not gonna spoil much about what led to Run's death because it could be found out IG. But I will share some screenshots.

LoveLess

Run was truly great and I cannot remember an interaction with him that I could find anything to dislike. He was a genuine character with a lot of conviction and so much life behind him.

Even his name had an amazing backstory behind it that caught my attention right from the beginning,

Excellent PC and best of luck with your next.

SalveForThePeople

Run was an interesting take on a druid and an overall great character.
