The Test Guy forgot about the test but now he's the Legate, which is probably a big promotion over being the Test Guy.

It's a little sad, though. I was really excited to see how I did!

I couldn't vote, but I think if I could vote, I would have voted for him.

Hopefully, having two Historians in charge of this place will allow them to avoid the especially awful things that are bound to happen when the orc chieftain arrives.

I miss reading in the Temple of Izdu. It was a nice way to break up the day.

I never get to visit the Temple anymore now that Cosine is dead. He was a little creepy, but I think that's just the way he was.

I don't like being a Doer-of-Odd-Jobs.

I want to write. I want to read. I want enough money to do anything I want forever.

I miss Lucy. If I left this place, I don't think I'd find her.

History is important because it can help people not mess up in the same way twice.

I should do that test even though I won't do especially well on it.

I got more letters than I was expecting, which is good.

Zol Nur never came to the Tower when I rang the bell, unfortunately, but maybe he was just busy.

Miss Margarethe offered to be my Teacher and so did Miss Miro. I'm happy about this. I still haven't talked to everyone who wrote a letter either, so I might find more teachers to learn from even.

I got mad and stressed because I was sleepy and Miss Margarethe's Master kept insisting I join his Tower...then everyone started fighting.

It was scary, but fortunately no one killed anyone.

Dear Miss Narwen,

That is kind of disappointing, but the offer is appreciated. I will take you up on it, if it's okay.

I am still curious about what a Spring's Gift elf is and how they are different from the types of elves I'm more familiar with.

I always try to be especially considerate, so I will be considerate about your vows. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Hello, Sisters. I have been informed by my Teacher that one of your Acolytes is a homunculus.

I am especially eager to learn more of such things, so whenever it is convenient for you all I would like to complete a full non-destructive examination of your homunculus Narwen.

I hope that you will grant me permission.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Dear Miss Miro,

Sorry about earlier. I should have been better at not getting upset...

I'm glad that you still are interested in teaching me things. I am probably more interested in Il Modo and Astronomy than Philosophy.

But maybe Philosophy will be more interesting than it usually is.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Dear Alejandro,

I'm okay with meeting and getting to know anyone, especially if you are not scary as you say you are not.

I also have read some of your works around Ephia's Well.

Thank you for writing me. I look forward to meeting.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Dear Zol Nur Apothar,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I am especially eager to meet.

I don't think I can join your Tower, so I hope that isn't a deal breaker.

I hope we can still have lots of fruitful conversations about these kind of things regardless.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Dear Miss Margarethe,

You seemed to really hate history, so I didn't want to bother you with my request.

But I will still come and find you so we can talk about it.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

All the Sisters are so nice. It makes me sad I can't be one.

This inn room is especially comfortable and I'm far from flush with dinars. I wonder how long until Miss Margarethe will make me leave...

I spent today making a nice poster. I hope I get lots of letters.

Notices and Bulletins / In Search of Tutelage
March 27, 2024, 04:18:16 PM

I am a newcomer to your settlement. I originally came here to learn at the Sandstone College, but I am hearing some bad things that have me kind of nervous, especially given the expensive 500 dinar tuition.

To that end I am asking to meet with those who are well studied in the areas of my interest (history and magic) to see about alternative arrangements to help me learn things.

I learn better from girls since they are kind of more patient than boys. It's okay if they used to be boys though. I'm also fine with old men who no longer possess the scarier qualities associated with the vigor of their youth.

I don't have a stable residence so please write me a letter at the Krak.

Sincerely,
Millefiori Safran

Hello, new journaling book.

I am excited to write in you. I'm also especially excited that the Souk had a pink book at all. In my experiences, it's not typically a popular color.

I seem to be the first to arrive here, which is kind of unfortunate, but also kind of fortunate. As the oldest, I need to take care of my little sisters.

I miss them a lot and hope they are all right.

I like Vlaid's idea here, I've tested magic disruptors quite a bit and they seem to struggle to strip even a single spell, and usually grab at best a level 1 spell. They should be more reliable, probably only remove 1-2 spells, and be limited to only a few spell levels tops

I was really sad that Elizabeth didn't come ringrunning with us. She was truly a fantastic PC and I hope we get to play together again sometime.

Suggestions / Fireball Damage
August 27, 2021, 04:38:30 PM
Max HP and common elemental resists makes fireball less useful than it used to be.

Have we ever considered raising the damage on fireball and similar evocation spells? Perhaps 1d8 per level or 1d10 per level.
