Lightdew,

I fear in these matters there is never a clear cut path, despite the wishes of so many. The difficulty of such thoughts is they can be swayed, manipulated. I do not begrudge the Sergeants, nor even the Prelate, nor the Magistrates. The Legates of the White League have managed to do, as Diakos before them, a fantastic and preternatural pulling of the heartstring.

The Refugee arrives with so little and it is easy to callus, like a hand, one's morality. But one by one these compromises, these transgressions, these actions, they weigh heavy. And now I begin to fear that matters will only grow worse before they get better.

Originally I took such a posting in hopes that I may see this tide slowed. To remind the Refugee that in a civilized life - there is indeed law. Not merely high law, but low law, social practices, settling dispute and mediation. The barest function of governance.

But in times as this - they do not need more governance. They need Faith.

Seek me at the Temple at your leisure. The servitors of the Sultan ever welcome.
