Submerged area tomes unclickable

I forget exactly what the area was called - Submerged Laboratory, maybe? But there are two tomes on stone blocks whose description says to click them to attempt Lore.  This doesn't work.  The character moved up to the tomes and did nothing.

Island - Ruin - Sunken Enclave. And yeah, its because of the stone blocks. :( We got all that way!
