Honoured Maharaja

It is our pleasure, as the government charged with administration of Ephia's Well by our Sultan, honor to his name, to officially accept Arjuna Namahedu as the official envoy of Qadira-on-the-Sea. Befitting their role, we formally request the lettered seals of their mark be delivered to them so that all and any agreements or contracts made between Qadira-on-the-Sea and Ephia's well may be made formalized in record, alongside providing the Sublime Garden with all official titles of address that we may conduct ourselves in negotiations in a proper manner.

Just think it'd be neat to be able to see the total value of a Property plus it's furnishings in the book in the Property office. Would both help players looking to sell their property, and let people see how much their little decorating project has actually cost them in total.

Suggestions / Parry Lunge for Fencer
March 15, 2024, 08:22:29 PM
Just tossing this here for Posterity, despite the Fencer class not even being implimented at time of Writing.

Suggestion for a new Lunge option for Fencer (Entirely fueled by my love for Gimmicky bullshit)

QuoteSwift Ripose
When in Parry Stance, the Fencer gains one Additional Attack per round.

The one additional APR would bring the Fencer in line with dual wielding for effectiveness when Parrying, while being extremely thematic to the class.

I was gladdened to hear of your return to the Well, you were always among the more competent and agreeable of the Legion and your assignment to Baz'eel was well earned, but the Fourth has suffered without your keen eye.

It has been too long since last we spoke. I invite you to my Office in the Palm Heights, that we may discuss a few matters.

Dear Nasreen

You are called to perform your Duties as Prelate, while Legate al-Marain is away from the Pyramid for a week at least on matters of faith.

We trust you shall serve wisely and capably, until such time as you are no longer required to do so.

P.S. We need you, Ymir cannot be left unopposed, even in these last few days.

Just throwing this out there on an OOC level. It has plenty of IC precedent, having been used as a punishment before. Would be cool if this gave the Scribes some more weight to throw around since they control the Bellows heads.

Exactly what it says on the tin.
It has been Established Openly that the Scribes have access to detailed information in an Election. Currently that Information is only available via DM intervention, I think it would be cool if Scribes could (Via a new book, or perhaps by interacting with the Voting Machine), see who has cast a vote and for Whom.

This would give people another piece of information they can Bribe scribes for, without DMs needing to be badgered to provide it.

(I will append this with my general and oft stated desire for the Scribes to have more information to sell. Bribe your Scribes!)

Correspondence / A note for Legate Guivarch
December 26, 2023, 07:39:01 AM
Legate

I do you the Courtesy of sending this privately, as I have no desire to have the public see the government arguing with itself as you seem to.

Your constant Unilateral actions are noted, your attempts to skirt the edges of your power are noted, and your lack of comprehension of the ramifications is noted.

In the most recent case, that of Hamdan al-Hamdan, you openly and publicly defy one of the Fundamentals of the Stele. No person may hold two government created titles, and you as a single legate do not have the power to change this.

I feel I must remind you that you do not wield your own power. Yours is the Authority of our Beloved Sultan, exercised on his behalf in the understanding it is used in the Spirit of his experiment.

The consequences of violating that spirit are great, the Chief Scribe I am sure informed you on your ascension what has happened to Legates who began operating without the agreement of their counterpart.

It is my duty as one of your Scribes to advise you, and I do so here now.
Cease probing the edges of your power, nothing good for you lays beyond them.

Live and Drink

Deputy Chief Scribe al-Samar

P.s. It is exactly the Authority of the Scribes to Remind you the expanse of your executive power. The Chief Scribe was the one to first explain them to you. Do not forget you have served one and a half terms as part of this government, I have served over the course of Seven.

Sephidra

I am dissapointed.

We stand at the Precipice of a Second missed payment on your not inconsiderable debt, and yet I have had no Letter, No Messenger sent, no Explaination and No Excuse.

I have waited patiently, expecting from you a level of Decorum to at least inform me should there be issues or delays as we have worked together many a time. But instead you choose to snub me, after leveraging my trust in you to already swell the generous timeframe of Reimbursement.

It is only out of Respect for Naelin that I have not already begun to claim your possessions from Torchbearer hall as in my contractual right, but that patience too runs thin.

Tommorow you shall be in full breach of contract, and Subject to sanctions up to Capital Theft charges at my whim. I expect from you a very, very good reason why I should not persue such, with generous offerings to Placate me for this deeply insulting conduct.
After that, we can once more discuss what you Owe.

Not even death has prevented the Sublime Bank from getting it's due in recent months, I have no intention of you proving the exception.

[Three Letters are sent, one to each Apothar, A Third Copy for the Zenithar Council, all Identical]

Apothar

While of late I have distanced myself from Matters of Licensure, in part for my own sanity, recently Renewed talk of "Organizational Licenses" has forced me to once more participate.

You are aware I am sure that while the Astronomers are the Licensing Body for Archeaology and Divination Licenses, they are still a State License and as such funds from such Licenses go into the State Treasury, Minus any Service or Filing fees required by the Licensing Body.

Understanding this, these announcements drawn from the Bellows Logs become a matter of Mild concern.

Quote from: Apothar Cosine Mevura, Subat 5thThe Sisterhood may elect among themselves a representative for their 'organizational license.'

Quote from: Apothar Mae Stern, Adar 8thThe Astronomers and our Nadiri are granted organisational licenses of archaeology and divination. Any enforcement of unlicensed activity laws over these licenses towards our members is an illegitimate practice of the law. Do not repeat your misunderstanding of the law again, Janissary.

Given how the Sale of Each Individual License represents a transfer of Funds into the coffers of the State, I politely request on Behalf of the State an explaination on how the funds for this wholesale Licensing will be Provided, the total amount that it shall come to, and how it shall be handled for any Astronomers who join in the future.

Likewise we shall require such for the Sisterhood of the Sibiline Vine, who having also been granted one of these Organizational Licenses Must therefore have paid the Astronomers for the full Licensing of their Organization, though we have not seen funds to demonstrate this.

Failure to Provide this information in a Prompt manner shall result in Reccomendations of a Full Audit of Astronomer Finances, a Pause in the Providing of all Allotment funds to the Astronomers until the Financial Irregularities have been resolved, the Removal of the Licenses from Astronomer Care, and the Pressing of Charges of Capital Theft against the Organization of the Assembly for the unaccounted funds due to the State against those who have claimed responsibility for the Providing of these Licenses.

A copy of this Letter has been sent also to the Zenithar Council, in the unlikely event that you believe it is wise to fight such requests when they might perhaps disagree it is best that they are fully informed of the nature of the matter.

Seen another server do this, so I figured I'd suggest it here.

Generally Speaking 6th circle spells are out of our level range, and 9th are obviously right out, this means that Lesser Dispel and Dispel Magic are the only universal Counterspells for 2nd and Below and 3rd and below spells respectively.

It might be cool to move the Variables (Or however it's done, I only know it can be) to a 1st and 4th circle spell, giving us one Universal Counter for each spell level we generally have access to on the server but having 5th as the peak of power nobody can counter.

Lesser Spell Breach would be a good candidate for 4th, Not sure for 1st (I think the server I blantently stole this idea from made a custom "Least spell breach" for it)

Representatives of the Cinquefoil Rose

I write this letter as the Bellows once again ring with that most troubling of misconceptions, that of the Sovereign Territory of the Krak des Roses.

I do not know how this misconception began, I certainly do not know why it has been allowed by those wiser to be so constantly perpetuated and nor would I press any blame for such, but every time I believe it has finally been snuffed out it rises again.

I will be entirely and utterly clear. The Krak des Roses is not, and has never been, a Sovereign Territory of the Cinquefoil Rose seperate to the Well or the Sultanate it belongs to.

Where once this might have been brushed off as simple misunderstandings by the fresh and uninitiated, now it is repeatedly used as sword and shield to stave off the will and justice of Legion and Legates alike. And so we must look to the Penal Code.

Quote6. Treason: A person found guilty of energetically undermining or energetically attempting to undermine the government for any reason, thereby inviting anarchy and disorder, has committed Treason. Capital.

Presuming of course, for the benefit of all, that this has until now been a simple and genuine misunderstanding, the time for Ignorance has run it's course.

I trust this shall be the last we hear of Sovereign Territory, as copies of this letter have been kept and shall be used as proof that you are no longer ignorant of this matter or it's potential Ramifications. It is Advised that your membership be fully informed, as the concequences could be extreme for individuals, and frankly a little Embarassing for the Rose as a whole.

This Letter is not a Sanction, nor an Accusation. Merely a warning that tolerances shall be lower in future.

Suggestions / Signable Papers
November 09, 2023, 10:25:25 AM
With the Ever Growing number of Contracts signed in the well at the moment, it would be cool if Paper Sheets could be given an Extra Option when writing them to instead create a Document.

the New type of note would allow someone to add their name to it underneath the writer's name, also in Blue and Offset to the Right, when the completed note is used on them to show them it. And that name would then also be carried across onto any copies of the Document.

This would allow far more natural contracts, Petitions, Etc, without having to just rely on Screenshots of [x Signs the Document] or Forum posts that people might not always have easy access to just from having the physical note itself.
