Title: I'tril Arabialtin - Dirty Bee Elf

... then I thought to give a nice flavor to the Punisher Perk, saying that the damage on hit was because of bees covering the person. Thinking of it further I decided to go druid instead and then ask for the damage on hit.

Jaydeboss was too slow and it never came in time. Instead, I had I'tril's hands covered with fungal honey, which allowed her to call forth the bees/ wasps/ what-the-heck to defend her as much as she enjoyed (<3 Howland). It is not everyone who can brag to have sweet hands, is it?

Honestly, I found I'tril to be delightfully beautiful as a concept. Hivemaster, servant of the World Tree, wild protector, hot heated, bullheaded, gentle to those she loved, high investment on stealth (yeah... I got all feats and skills I could and put them all into stealth, boy... sometimes I'd reach 39 Hide, oh yeah!).

She was a Daughter of the Branch, some female elven druidic circle based on the Leaflord that I came up with. With the Seldarine going sleepy, I decided to give follow to Ceres style and put I'tril under the branches of Jannath, the World Tree (aka Chauntea). So... no, this wasn't another Talonite (sorry, folks!). Sum to it the savagery of the Wild Elves, in particular the ones of the Misty Vale, and you'll get a very precious adventure:

[hide="Misty Vale"]The Misty Vale is a largely unexplored, thickly overgrown, stifingly hot jungle tucked between the Dun Hills and the Wyrmbones. The river Channath flows through the Center of the woodland, becoming sluggish where tangles of creepers and vines dangle down into its waters. The river teerms with fish, and the occasional crocodile, snake, and more unusual jungle aquatic creature also call its waters home. In the canopy overhead, countless birds with colorful plumage cry out, their voices echioing through the deep green.

In the courts of the High Suihk of Ormpur and the Overking of Lapaliiya, records dating back to the foundings of both realms speak of a race of feral elves native to the steaming jungle. According to these documents, the elves were so xenophobic that they made a practice of hunting down and killing any intruders in their ancient homeland.

The descendents of the wild elves described in those ancient records still dwell in the same forest today. Their oral tradition relates how their ancestors betrayed the other wild elves to the depredations of the drow during the Crown Wars. Afterward, they were given this section of woodland to call home, though the drow sorcerer had released numerous dark horrors there. Remorseful over having betrayed their own kind, the wild elves of the Misty Vale withdrew into the forest so deeply that no one would ever see their guilt, vowing to live in isolation forever after. In accord with that philosophy, they embraced Fenmarel Mestarine, the Lone Wolf, as their patron deity. Today, their descendants still adhere to both their ancestors' isolationism and the worship of their deity. They tolerate no intrusion into their forest and slay all intruders without exception. Though the wild elves have hunted many of the deadlier monsters in this wood nearly to extinction, a few terrible creatures still lurk in the deepest shadows of the Misty Vale.

The concept became even more interesting after the day I discovered the High Passages, a place where several Hellwasps gather and make wild parties.

It's a really beautiful place and it got nice descriptions popping up here and there. Gods, how I loved running those tunnels!

She started her career helping people lost in the wilds. Rescuing guys that got ND because of monsters too strong for them or guiding younglings through the Underdark. Sometimes she got to ask favors like sending warnings to the Sanctuary people.

Then I inaugurated the ritual system... delicious thing, if you ask me. Delicious.

I tried some new things with I'tril, like being more active in PvP. My first days were sufferable and I died in the wilds for everything. Although, slowly (and with some DM love), I managed to keep up levels and grow enough confidence to tease everyone that seemed to put DANGER TO THE BALANCE, raawwrr! Another thing that I tried was to test more interactions with the stealth system... (appearing behind people with the spear on their throat while hissing threats was the best). Thanks for the guys that decided to play along.

Another thing that I tried to develop (as in all my PCs) is to figure out meaningful options that would substitute FD. I had several opportunities to FD PCs and I preferred to figure out ways of standing as a druid, but not letting the stories to go short prematurely, adding to the Chauntea way of life. I decided for the death of on single madam dwarf (really nice story, by the way), and I still regret for it. If she wasn't that nasty with her spirits, maybe we could have had more to share.

In the end, I'tril was most busy hunting necromancers. She got really pissed about they dropping their undead in the groves. After that she became really feral and turned mad hunter on, stomping the Boneyard now and then to teach them necros to defile her land. I guess the best interaction there was to stop a group from going further into Thomas' shop with her summons. You feel really nice when people go like "Ugh... are you guys still wanting to go down there?" and then they all depart. After all, you're a wild elf druid that wants people to think NATURE hates them, not that some weakling wildling is behind their suffering.

Well... this run was a blast. I can't say I was ready to let I'tril depart to the otherworld or that I wouldn't grab a chance of going further. Although, it has ended and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Thank you guys that joined in the ride along our side!

Time to lick wounds and start thinking on next concept. *ponders about smelly old hag*

PS: Her theme was wasps. Not bees.... (damn you Capricious) :P
PPS: OH... clarification: she never took barbarian <3 (that was just the inspiration).

I think she was a great representation of a wild elf. Especially taking the route away from the Seldarine like the old wild elves (before the sun elves started the whole crown wars dealio!) used to be. More people should express wild elves like the primal savages they are, and barbarian was a perfect multiclass.

Like a bee she stung one too many times and her innards were torn out of her body along with the stinger. Or something?
