Day 1: A thrill! I arrive to Ephia and within hours have met their Leader and been given a noble charge. He is a gruff and proud Dwarf, few I have ever seen in my time but he does not seem like those of Kulkund I stumbled upon. Perhaps he has simply assimilated? I do hope I do not lose my accent and charms to such erosion.
In the wake of word of my intentions of drafting Opertto they give me title. I have been named War-Chronicler of Ephia's Well. It is not a duty to take lightly but a good chance to prove to my new friends and peers of the College that the name Cosmani is to be remembered. A few key battles I have been told to seek, a few key peoples, and some draftwork therein. To honor the dead, to bolster the living, and inspire the young bravos.
Speaking of their Bravos though. A curious thing is how many of this place do not care for compliment upon meeting. They bristle, glower, and expect me to be swindling them. Is this not curious? To share genial wishes before undertaking Labor? This place has such wealth and good cheer should be abundant.
But there are many curmudgeons and sour-faced women. I shall have to see what I can do to cultivate a worthy social circle, a few friends, a few employees, potential women I may serve as Suitor for.
A few debts to settle, a few meetings to schedule, and then I may begin my studies, my War writings, my Operetta writings, and other businesses in earnest.
