I'm really sad that Silverkin's gone and that I won't be able to RP with her anymore. I had a feeling James should've ran after/followed her the last time he saw her pass and I definitely regret not having done so because now I can't help wondering what could have ended up differently!

I think it's a great idea. Yes, it can be an issue concerning power questers, but I think that's more of an issue of original sending system being used in such a way to begin with.
 
Seeing something like "Hey you Sharb guards! Pay attention! There's a man robbing people blind in the docks!" or "I'm looking for a potion brewer and wand crafter" or "Cutters, There be an opportune knife in between the ribs of the poor beggar hiding behind the Hanged Goblin." in IRC can lead to loads of RP.
