I want to commend you on your great resilience, sir. Being bullied left and right on your first days, staying IC like you did, is memorable. EFU is not for everyone... But it is definitely for you! Welcome to the server. :)

Best Inquisitor ever.

As stated in the subject, Arcane Defense is a feat that I doubt anyone would actually take, furthermore, most of the time GSF is not applied to every spell used, making a specialist spellcaster in certain school just as good as any spellcaster, for many spells. Giving those who have GSF arcane defense feat makes them automatically more 'specialized' in that area, making a lot more sense and rewarding a bit more those who have spent 2 feat slots on a general basis for their field of expertise. :)

I've recently thought about rolling a kobold, which reminded me of this suggestion, so here's a *bump*. The second part of it has been addressed. Cheers! :)

Bug Reports / NPCs' rage fizzles
November 10, 2019, 09:33:13 AM
With the new rage system being an instant action, the NPCs who are scripted to activate rage the old way are not raging at all, just wasting a round action. The ones I've noticed were the starving kobold bandit, and sone NPC gladiators.

Suggestions / Peerage citizen prestige
October 25, 2019, 11:36:35 AM
Prestige points seem to be some sort of currency in the Peerage Ward, what makes a lot of sense in a noble decadent place, full of people who live on status. However, currently, only retainers/peers of the noble houses have use for prestige points, whereas independent Peerage citizens/PC factions have no use for them. Think it compared to Ticker square, where independent adventurers/mercenaries, or members of PC factions have the advantage of  the groat flow,  thriving trading and claimable strongholds. I suggest a way that allows a Peerage registered citizen to exchange royal items for prestige points, and a use for such points, be it a shop and/or even claimable strongholds that allow its claiming with use of ridiculously large amount of prestige points to rent it. Obviously such points would be much more valuable in the hands of a retainer, so independent citizen ratings and gear/supply quality not as advantageous.

Bards (specially pure) are one of the strongest classes there is. Melee wise they can outclass most melee classes, if built for that. I don't think bards need buffs at all. However, I'm in favor of some song that gives sonic damage boost. :)

I'm going on a couple of weeks long break, personal matters. Luckily there has no real plot started yet on Turor "The Royal Spellhunter", so when I come back we'll pick up with the 'let's meet' and 'licenses' stuff.

Right now, members of the Royal Inquisition Courthouse need to pay 10 gp to go back and forth from their stronghold and the main hub. Although it doesn't seem like a lot, it adds up, and just encourages such members to set spawn point elsewhere nearer the main hub, making their stronghold even more forgotten than it already is. I suggest make Cousin Frep + Cousin Jone's dialog with an option for those tagged/wanded for the Courthouse free passage.

None of the old potions of protection from other alignments (other than good and evil) work anymore. That is Caprice, Radical Soul and Duty.

The -4 strength is excessive.

Although I agree it is a pain to roll a PC with -4 str even if you are not STR based, kobolds IMO are supposed to be very weak, they are known to be weaker than goblins and halflings, hence the -4. They are also supposed to be more slippery, so they get (currently) the dodge feat and apparently AC bonus on top of that when you log in, you get the buff.

The first suggestion here is akin to my previous (and successful, thanks Paha) "Make goblins more goblins and less halflings (link: https://www.efupw.com/forums/index.php?topic=694517.0 ) this follows the same pattern. Kobolds currently inherit two halfling feats, Fearless and Good Aim. The suggestion here is to replace them to:
Good Aim -> Darkvision
Fearless -> Skill focus: Set Trap (Maybe Skill focus: Disable Trap on top of it.)

Also, although I don't think Kobolds need extra nerfing (They are currently the weakest thing one can roll), still make them with Light sensitivity makes total sense. I would balance that with some other bonus however, maybe boost Search and EFUSS Mining.

The second suggestion is related to the access to the city from the Kobold lair. I also think this has been an overlook. Currently if you make a kobold PC right now, your only way to access the game world is through the Peerage, which entails you'll need a DM overlook to get to the first area outside your lair. That happens because the Dorvant's Druthers only gives you access to the Royal Canals if you have a key to 98. Even though if this were by design, it is a bit brutal to have the first area for a lvl 2 kobold be the Mongrel Woods. That said, the most obvious route, which is the Drips has the path blocked by a grate without "squeeze through bars" option. (the first one has the squeeze through bars placeable, the second one a bit further, doesn't, so there is no true access to the drips currently).
