Screen Shots & Obituaries / Stannis Ironblood
May 19, 2019, 10:28:48 AM
So the Story of Stannis Ironblood comes to an end. He lived longer than my last character and he was certainly an interesting play. From the second day of creation he became an Acolyte of the 100 Scrolls. He had no idea what they were but he saw the Arbiters as a means to bring order to 99. He made plenty of friends along the way and most of them have died or forgotten about him thanks to a certain feast. He turned out much colder than I intended but that's the glory of character development. In the end he became prideful and eager to prove himself. He never did make it in as a full fledged arbiter. He struggled with it often and as he began to get desperate to prove himself, he was done in. The risk one takes when wanting to be the best. Below are the handful of Screenshots that I gathered while playing him.

This was a picture of him attending his second tournament. He didn't partake in it cause he didn't have 'potions' which he easily realized was what someone needed to be good.

Here's a screenshot of him, Alexandra,  Cedric – Who all became friends of his. As well as Rhonda and Dare.  They took on a Troll for a Dwarven lass wanting to avenge her brother not to mention the Army she had at her disposal. At the time he was unaware of the whole 'changelings' thing. He was promptly educated after this and would not step into the ponds again.

Here was the item I obtained from that quest!

Here's a snapshot of the aftermath of Adrian Winespill vs Hafit? I think it was Hafit yeah. It got insane after big fight was breaking out. This stuff sort of enforced the idea that there wasn't really any 'lawmen' out in this crazy 99.
[hide][/hide]

Here's my character sitting in for the Raksasha vote. Writing down all those who verbally voted yes. A good showing of a lot of characters. Most not around anymore!
[hide][/hide]

Here's a shot of Joscelin and Stannis as they went down into the depths of the Crypts to face a horrible evil! A lichling! They vanquished it together but I didn't get a screenie of that.
[hide][/hide]

A small unknown by most fact. Stannis had a loyal hound Karn. Karn was a good boy. He lives mostly in Ninety Seven. Stannis would visit frequently to feed him. Stannis NEVER brought him to Ninety Nine cause he knew he'd likely parish. Hopefully Karn finds a good home now that Stannis is dead.

Lastly not story or plot related and might be a tad spoilerish as it pertains to a certain puzzle quest. But this was as far as I got. I could not bring myself to go anymore. It would take too much time.

All in all. I really enjoyed Stannis. He had ups and down. I had a few RL things come up that caused me to have to sit out a few times, for a few days but all in all it was fun. The character changed so much. The pressures of wanting to be an Arbiter, the Chaos of the Rings and the despair of lost friends dragged him into his roots. Into the man he was BEFORE coming here. So it was quite the journey. Thanks to everyone who tolerated him and rp'd with me. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, for me. I mostly lose.

Suggestions / Re: Make Furors pure barbarian only
May 18, 2019, 07:10:17 AM
I could see the value to this. Though admittedly the rage is on a pretty long cooldown for someone who's multi-classing.  It's like 18 or 20 mins. So someone really has to time it well for pve purposes. Bard/Barbarian is sort of like a 'skald' . A barbarian/rogue is like a 'thug'. A Ranger/Barbarian is like a Wildman/Hunter. The only one I couldn't see is Barb/Cleric. I'm not much of a powerbuilder in general so I wouldn't know how strong those things could really be.  I've not really gotten a character past eight in this chapter so it's hard for me to say how strong one would be at those levels.  I suppose the level 8 isn't too appealing? The extra 5% resistance to me would seem somewhat worth it.  Perhaps giving the furor's a 'Pure Bonus'  sort of how the Rogue's get a Pure Bonus. Though as is. With it only being used basically once per rest for the most part, not to sure what difference it would make. Though I do see many people with the Terrifying Rage Furor.   Equally so, I'm not sure if it's a thing but I feel the furor/rage shouldn't be able to be used if you're wearing full plate either. Not to piggy back on it but it would just make sense that you lose 'all barbarian' power if you're in heavy armor. Not just the movement speed and Dmg%.

As someone who puts in the effort and groat towards custom armor on the characters I can say that you're allowed two enhancements which don't seem like much to most but they can be pretty tailored to your character's wants and needs. Furthermore I've found that you'll need to scroll through the -previous- options instead of next. To actually get all the available peices for things like shoulders, gloves and etc.

Most will tell you it's not worth it. But Style over Substance is what I'll tell you.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Re: Alexandra Theron

A great friendship at the start. A mixed one at the end.  I enjoyed interacting with Alex every step of the way. Good or bad.

Nice work. Look forward to your next character.

Going to be a much tougher place without the bright and shining Antoine O'hara.

Well done. Look forward to the next character.

I never had too much interaction with Laura. Outside of merchant stuff. None of my character crossed her path too much politically but I felt the effects of her character 'unknowingly.'

You did a great job. I hope you were able to give plenty of villain speeches if you had the chance too. Hopefully you have fun with the next character you decide to play.

Bill was fun to chat with and I was shocked to see him laying dead in the peerage ward.

He assisted in the Death of one of my characters and likely would've Stannis as well. Kobus was an interesting villain. Well played.

Look forward to the next one.

This is an interesting concept. Something I like it would make it a tad more interesting for those feats. Though it could also change the balance a bit. So it could be tricky I guess. Though certainly worth looking into.

Dangit! A great character. My only major interaction with him was just before his death but you did a great job.

It's not the penultimate armor or anything but it helps if you build a character with only a starter dex of 14 or something.

There's a Chain Shirt but not Chain Mail/Scalemail. I mean the 5 armor 2 dex. I also noticed there's not Hide armor the 3 armor 4 dex as well for like druids.
