If anyone has this laying about their PC or knows a thread I can find it in it would be awesome. Thanks!

Hello Everyone! So a while back my friends back home posted on my Facebook saying something to the effects of, "Will (because that's what my friends call me), I wish we could play D&D like we did back when we were young when we didn't have responsibilities, but we're so busy with babies, school, work, marriages, mortgages, bills, etc...."

I thought to myself, I can totally make this happen. 1. It will be in my favorite setting Forgotten Realms, 2. Make it non-canon so I can feel like I'm being creative, 3. Play D&D with my friends again and invite new friends, 4. Actually test the 5e books out rather then let them collect dust on my book shelves, 5. And make it a leisurely format to fit anyone's busy life schedule, Play by Post.

All that gave birth too: The Storytellers RPG: Lost Continent of Portalus

As stated above, it is a Play by Post forum with me acting as the DM, it's that simple.

The reason I'm writing this here is because I have friends here too, probably not as close, but friends none-the-less. If any of my old or new friends want to stop by the forum and give it a look, feel free to do so. I have everything set up so you have to sign up as a member to view "everything" but if you don't want to sign-up but still want to view "everything" let me know and I'll change the restrictions.

But let me make this blatantly clear, this has nothing to do with EFU:R, or previous chapters. Its is just a way for me to have fun with friends at our leisure. Thanks everyone, see you on IRC or IG EFU:R.

Matteo Alabhast is dead, good riddance. He was a horrible attempt at becoming a Spellguard Agent, that suffered setback after setback, and then finally after immense frustration, and the straw that broke the camel's back - I got tired of playing a buff bot.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Wyatt Duskmore is Dead
March 17, 2014, 09:28:30 AM
Wyatt Duskmore aka "Kisses" is no more, and his ending was extremely bitter for me because I really loved this character, and loathe what he was made into in the end. Unfortunately, the events leading up to Wyatt's death were some of the worst moments I've had on the server to date, and found absolutely no fun in them at all. It was not the fault of the DMs or Players, but my personal gut-retching displeasure for what the character was turned into, and how the character was portrayed in the end in game and on the forums.

Character history: Wyatt Duskmore was a Lightfoot Halfling that looked for adventure before the fall of the surface to the Dread Empire. He joined an adventuring company in his early years that traveled the greater Toril in search of glory and riches of lost kingdoms. Travelling by way of the sea, on a ship named the Wild Winds, Wyatt and friends found many adventures until they met with an unfortunate slaver ship that captured both the ship and cure. The destination was Skullport, and that is where Wyatt's life would take a turn for the worst.

Wyatt's adventuring company was split up, and sold to various denizens of the Underdark and Surface. Wyatt's master was Jerithal Erridetha, a sun elf and psionist, and regularly tortured Wyatt with visions of dead companions, slaughtering innocents, being feasted upon by vermin, and being compelled to act out cruel and sadistic fantasies for his master. One of the lesser known and rarely seen was when Wyatt was compelled to flay the skin from his mouth and cheeks so that it always appeared that Wyatt was smiling for his master, which is why Wyatt always wore the bandanna. Since being a slave, Wyatt developed a deep racism towards all elves, personally never trusting them, and often referring to them as knife-ears.

During the fall of the surface to the Dread Empire, Wyatt found his chance for freedom in the chaos of Skullport being overran by Thralls. Escaping as a stowaway on a ship attempting to outrun the Dread Empire, the ship was destroyed and the remnants were left floating out to sea. Floating on a piece of wood and battling the elements Wyatt was cast to the shore, where he developed the mind frame of personal survival first and foremost by any means necessary. Robbing, looting, and stealing from both the living and the dead, Wyatt stumbled upon a portal to Sanctuary.

Once in Sanctuary Wyatt worked first as a worminger, and then started the Duskmore Observer to become a neutral voice to the populace. The Duskmore Observer was also the attempt to attract the attention of his friends should they ever find their way to Sanctuary, sadly his friends never arrived. Wyatt reported on various topics that interested him, and were currently hot among the people. Regretfully, Wyatt Duskmore sold his paper to J.T. Firefly in an attempt to retire peacefully in sanctuary and live his days out in peace.

An adventure into the sewer tunnels of Lower Sanctuary would lead Wyatt to have an extreme hatred of the Chosen, which he would hunt daily tallying the numbers of his kills. Alone Wyatt was careful and tactful when attacking Chosen, but with a party he was careless and seething with blind fury to kill every Chosen he saw.

Wyatt's adventurous nature would soon get the best of him, and he would find himself in Lower Sanctuary joining the Scrapper Scamps. Here he would to wonderful and true friends in Trem and Pipes, and a cause to fight for to save the Scrappers.

Screen shots:

Wyatt's business outfit for the Duskmore Observer.

Wyatt's Pissrat outfit, he thought it would help him hunt Chosen if he smelled like them. In his mind it worked.

Interviewing Renee Greystarred, she was creepy and Wyatt never liked her.

INFORMER! FHLKJHHLRKJHR Blam! I lick your boom boom yeah! Wyatt was actually an informant for the Watch, and was given certain leniency and privileges.

Even here, Wyatt states he not a killer or assassin. He forced into that role, because I certainly didn't want that for him.

The Start of the Pissrat extermination run, Praise Chequen!?

The Pissrat leader, facing his soon to be death.

Chequen is BORN!! And Will tries to get his arm back.

Strange dealings, poor Will.

Finishing the Pissrat destruction, again poor Will.

Stealing a kiss from Queen Sialoorta. This was actually my favorite in game moment because it led to some wonderful roleplay, and genuine friendships.

The naming ceremony, good times.

Dialog from the naming ceremony.

Living up to the Scrapper name Kisses was tough on Wyatt.

The dialog from stealing that second kiss. Still makes me laugh when I read the talk between Trem and Wyatt, Trem was easily Wyatt's best friend.

The hunt for the Magnetic Mangler, this was a personal goal for Wyatt, which he saw completed despite the interruption from the Spellguard, and them being slaughtered.

The gathering of Scrappers and the plan to hunt the Magnetic Mangler, unfortunately all the screenies of the battle I thought I got didn't take. Sorry Sternhund, but thank you for allowing Wyatt to achieve one of his goals. It was nice to race against the clock.

Wyatt taking a moment and standing next to his friend Will. Wyatt never stopped thinking about trying to figure out a way to get his arm back.

During a late Saturday night, I decided to test my Hide/MS against the server creatures. I found some really interesting places I had no business being alone in, but it was the most fun I had with Wyatt.

Hiding out in the shadows, it was his finally look. I got rid of some epic gear because I didn't want Wyatt smelling like rat piss.

Sialoorta was HOT! Wyatt secretly wished he was taller or a human so he could warm Sialoorta up all private like. Seriously Wyatt thought Sialoorta was the sexy creature alive!

The beginning of the end for Wyatt, captured and forced to follow. He was be ordered to kill Kojirak in the end. Oh yeah, this was Wyatt's first meeting with the Sons of Cyric, but it seemed like everyone believed he was a Cyricist -all- the time. Sorry to disappoint.

Again just trying to survive the "suck" in the end they would kill Wyatt.

Here is Wyatt, dead and gone, I'm actually very, very sad that Wyatt was made out to be a villian, and resent everything leading to his end.

Wyatt always attempted to live between Upper and Lower Sanctuary, and secretly wished they would put their differences aside and create a greater home for all people.

Thanks for all the memorable moments that really enriched the character's life on the server, you know who are who contributed. Till the next one.

The Duskmore Observer came into being because I wanted to do something for the server that would be what I thought, light work. Unfortunately it developed into a beast because I wanted to push the limits in providing a Newspaper with picture art, creative stories, and high quality stuff in my eyes.

My time in finding artwork and then clipping it down to size and spending hours writing several stories started to anger the Wife. That's the short of it.

Here is where you come in!

If you want to meet new people, wander the depths of the environments, or get into crazy adventures, write for a newspaper or play a journalist. Especially one for the Duskmore Observer

The Duskmore Observer is:
- Chaotic in alignment, with a generous sprinkle of Neutral (But feel free to play what you want to play, the Duskmore Observer allows for it),
- 50% Truth and 50% Lies, the majority of the time, or that's how I intended it to be,
- Non-Political,
- Willing to throw anyone under the bus, for the sake of news,
- Willing to promote both good and evil,
- For any character that can read and write,
- Finally, for anyone crazy enough to take up the challenge.

The Duskmore Observer was created by a character that is a follower of Brandobaris, so a large part of the dogma goes into the newspaper. The one with the wildest and craziest story is the most honored. That is what the Duskmore Observer is all about.

Because I can't be around all the time anymore, I'm still willing to give everyone all the support I can give when time allows for it. Here is what I can offer for now.

1. A Duskmore Observer Template to make it easier to write on.
2. FotoFlexer is the website I use to create all the Papers.
3. ImageShack is my uploader (1280X1024 19-inch monitor for the size)
4. Clip Art trimmed up and ready to go... or help finding and creating it.
5. A really cool idea for any new or current character looking to shake things up a bit.

This is my attempt to help keep the Duskmore Observer alive in my absence, if you have any questions feel free to PM me, email me, or catch me on mIRC.

A little Character History: Clikit was born into a large gnomish extended family that all over Toril. Nomadic in their ways, Clikit's family focused on exploration, archaeology, and tourism. They began chronicling their adventures through verbal histories that have been passed down through the generations. Clikit's family always tried to remain hidden in the shadows never to disturb the history that was occurring in front of them, or the history they found. They considered themselves only watchers, but it was Clikit that took to his chaotic nature and began using pranks to bring himself into the stories. After a large prank and grand celebration Clikit found himself lost with in a city without his family, and no way to find them. Over the years Clikit travelled alone or with other races spending time in cities with gnomish women. It was common for gnomish women to speak of Clikit's charm. Often stating he had the slyest eyes they'd ever seen, so sly they could convince a jewel to sparkle within Baravar's shadow. After several long and fruitful years of planting his seed across Toril, Clikit was mysteriously deposited on Ymph by the mythallar. Clikit having no money, no home, and no food quickly convinced a Caermyn associate to recruit him. Believing he could live fat off Caermyn coin he quickly found himself unceremoniously inserted into the feud between Markin Buckbane and everyone associated with Aberdenn. Clikit having taken greater interest in the history of Mistlocke he is finding the political feud between Caermyn and Aberdenn effecting his research in such a way that he is unable to find anyone willing to work with him. Clikit is now beginning to see how untrustworthy Caermyn is to the community of Mistlocke and surrounding factions and associations is now seeking a faction that shares the same interests for history and archaeology as himself. Also has the same charms of a wilderness and nomadic people Clikit grew up in.

Clikit was 94 years old, lots of wives and lots of children, and he was Chaotic Neutral with a dash of fucking nuts. I tried to really RP the withering that was happening to him, and the various changes that were affecting him because of it. The withering definately caused him to be more blood thirsty towards the end. Perhaps that is why he was so ready to sacrifice that child? Clikit claimed that he was part fey, and that was only for story line purposes, and he would have likely been scared to death of them if he met one, a real fey that is. The top hat was something that came entirely from the portrait of Clikit, but it was something of a signature for him at the end. He kept momentos of all his good friends that died. Buckbane a emerald given to him by Joseph Oaktower, Jano's Token, and Yngvi's token also. He fancied himself an archaeologist, but never discovered anything of note, besides a bad case of the withering. Those that earned his friendship earned it forever.

Clikit got his boots after having a run in with a Mist Beast pretending to be one of his many children. Thanks to the DM that gave me these!

Clikit recieved his bow from a strange individual in the dells that wanted to hear stories. Clikit's story was about Junga the Great Tiger Spirit of Chult. The bow had it's downside, on respawn Clikit started bleeding out, which lead to several frustrating deaths. Other then that the bow was freaking awesome, and Clikit had tons of times to change it. Thanks to the awesome DM for this piece of greatness!

Clikit just learned that his best friend Markin Buckbane was killed by Aberdenn, but the Watchers have great news, your in! And I just saved a bundle on my car insurance by switching to Geico!

Thanks to Rani (WWind) for an awesome induction!

The following are Clikit's friends. Sadly I didn't get pictures of all of you, but damn it you know who you are!

Our conversation made me laugh so hard.

Hanging with Cassie and Jano. We kept fearing that Jano might try and eat us, so Cassie brought in snakes.

Clikit and Overgold has several nice little chats, but there was one thing they didn't agree on to the point of frustration and annoyance. Half of me thinks Clikit just liked getting a rise out of Overgold, serious or not.

Clikit thought the crow was a omen from his dead friend Buckbane, but it turned out to be something completely different. In the end Clikit strived to help his new friend collect what it needed.

The Eyeball Queen, it was awesome to really help this character out, to bad we never made it to the goal.

Clikit was honestly bewildered by Reach. He seriously thought she went mad, but she did try to help him with his Archaeology stuff.

Yngvi (KreShar) was probably Clikit's second best friend and favorite hunting partner. Nightly they hunted the server of EFU killing just about anything that moved. It was AWESOME!!

The funeral of Bryndan was a tough one, but we all made it through it.

Clikit was pretty determined to get Jano inducted.

His death came with some DM spice at the Tower of Mercy. It was intense, and thankfully some one was there to carry his body till the end of it so Clikit could place him on a pyre.

Sayin some good words on Jano's behalf. FIRE! FIRE! FIIIIRRRRE!

Clikit was a deadly shot, even killed a demon or two.

Wonderful of Rill to throw his two cents in and steal a little bit of Clikit's thunder. LOL!

So here we are standing around and Clikit asks, "Hey guys, have you ever got stoned?"

"Drugs are bad, M'Kay."

Trouble with Kobolds

Leave it to Joseph to keep the party going, and now for some gnomish humor!

Things got bad real fast, but it was hilarious too! Locked in a cage with a wart infested Halfling that produces Slaadis when a wart pops. What happens when all that warts pop at one time? To bad no screenies of that hell.

Wandering the underdark alone is never a good idea. I guess that's why Howland asked me why the hell I was down there. Thanks for not killing me then.

People there would see Clikit entirely differently after this little event.

One more from Lesp's Arena.

So a party battles their way into the Tower of Mercy...

And they meet some new friends!...

I'm really not sure about Clikit's choice of friends anymore.

Here is why Clikit is called Sly. Thanks to everyone involved in this, definately a highlight.

Clikit's last adventure. His last words were, "I'm going to die for you!"

I want to think everyone that made this character so awesome to play! There are a lot of names out there, and I wish I could remember them all to write them down. Thanks to the DM team, you guys are really rocking right now, so much activity from all of the team!

Again thanks to everyone! I hope you enjoyed him and he inspired you! Now a new quarter of my Master's Program starts, see everyone around!

Bug Reports / Archaeologist Perk Bug
August 19, 2012, 07:57:10 PM
I selected the Archaeologist perk for my character Clikit. I then logged out for about an hour and then logged back in to EFU:M and checked to see if the Archaeologist perk stay in effect, it wasn't. I decided to see if resting would rest the perk, and it did returning the bonuses back to the skills.

I doubt this is supposed to be like this for the perk, but it is a tiny inconvenience. I also don't know if this happens every log out and log in.

Can anyone confirm? Or I will just check this later tonight.

Bug Reports / Pure Fighter Perk - Squire Bug
September 25, 2011, 02:57:06 PM
I play Dynadin O'Hearth under the GStag: UnholyWon. The character is pure fighter at 5th level with Pure Fighter Perk: Squire. At 5th level the feat "Disarm" does not show up in the Character Sheet Feat list, it is not available in the radial, and not in the crafting skills menu.

Short of it, I don't have the Disarm Feat.

Thats it, thanks! :)

Koppers talking to one of his favorite women. Much love for the Abigail!

Koppers in the fugue. Even in death he was unable to escape the horror of the Hog's Helm.

Here are the actually stats for the Hog's Helm. It added to a lot of interesting RPing. Thanks Cluckyx!

Thanks and much love to everyone that participated in Koppers fun. I had a blast playing Koppers, but I look forward to rolling up something new.

Bug Reports / Website Bug
June 25, 2011, 01:12:26 PM
I was exploring the website and came across an interesting bug.

If you go to Info ----> Mistlocke Manuel ----> Character Development ----> Applications ----> Character Expectations, everything above Clerics disappears.

Can anyone else verify this happening for them too?

Kahuu Shroudwalker of the Desert Sands, The Harbinger of Mist, and Stargazer of the Scarab Beetle Tribe.

Kahuu was involved in many things, but do to my availbility to play he was rarely able to see the finished outcome of such large plots and schemes.

I want to think everyone on Team Nature, you all rocked! To each DM that helped with the Mist character plots, thank you. Also thank to everyone else for the RPing.

Also Kahuu believed it was wasteful to throw anything away, and always kept his pack(s) completely full and also kept some precious gifts from friends on his person all the time.

Here are some screen shots of what I enjoyed doing with Kahuu.

This character was created on Thursday, May 20th, 2010 at 01:47:10 AM.
Since creation, this character has logged on and off 238 times.
The character has spent 11 days, 20 hours, 45 minutes, and 48 seconds online.

Kahuu a LOT of time collecting herbs, meat, berries, and other materials for Starvillage.

Kahuu spent time with other Stargazers giving prayers to the ancestors.

Kahuu was always ready to lay the smack down on a Flayer. Especially Rat Flayers named Rat, but I don't have screen shots of that fight.

Kahuu felt it important to understand the qualities of each form. Bear form was for napping.

Kahuu risked slavery to free a brother held captive by the Tyrant Lord.

The Tyrant Lord of Mens grants Kahuu a look at his brother, and then terms of release are set. Unfornately Brother Tiger was extremely angry.

A race through the Zig, and several hick-ups from lag Kahuu was able to lead the Tiger back to Starvillage to remain as a Guardian.

Best friends of Kahuu.

An uneasy alliance.

One of the several Mist adventures Kahuu lead for other people.

Kahuu goes walking alone into the Mist for the First time.

Trout tells Kahuu of his Mist experience.

Before Kahuu died he knew some where around seventy or more Herbalism and Alchemcy recipes. Also Kahuu was responsible for an explosion of plants being planted all over the server. I was very busy.

Kahuu's heart broke this day when he was confronted with the Abberations of Leged and Izzy. I made Izzy Player cry too.

This isn't how Kahuu died, far from it. He is dead though and finally can rest in peace.

Suggestions / Desert Area Suggestions
December 14, 2010, 04:49:22 PM
I suggest adding randoms to the Desert Areas and also a some sort of Quest(s) to give an added bonus to traveling to the area in large groups.

I would also suggest the addition of some monster that uses tremorsense added to the Desert Area. Many people use invisibility potions and Hide/Move Silently in this area, to only avoid the Sand Demons, Rag Wraiths, and Desert Beetles. I feel it removes from the danger of the area, especially if traveling alone or in a small group. I understand that tremor sense is not an ability that is given to a monster lightly.

That's it.

Oh yeah, for those who want to know. My surgery, a simple gall bladder removal, was a success. The awesome part is that it happened on my birthday, my most awesome present! Norco is a fantastic drug, Morphine is a OMFG MORE PLEASE drug, and Anaesthesia is pure Heaven.

I'm still healing, but no more drugs. I had to return to work, suck, but need moneys.

I'll return to EFU:A soon, but I'm enjoying my time away for now. Much love and peace!

Suggestions / Halfling and Gnome Throwing
September 10, 2010, 04:37:06 AM
QuoteUnholyWon> In my PnP game last night I got to engage in Halfling and Gnome tossing. It was hilarious
I think there should be something implemented on the server that allows high strength characters to toss small folk
^
That is sweet, UnholyWon.
Post to suggestion forum, plz.
Don't chuck em halfling rogues though.
LOL
They will stab your knees.
I think the suggestion would fail, and in the eyes of the DMs I would be more then less than
A player tool.  If you have 16+ str, makes a check with DC vs. their discipline, then tosses the nearest small-sized character to target location.  An accompanying text command that allows people to set their DC to 0.
AKMatt> So people can willingly be tossed, or unwillingly.
Also, tossed PCs make a tumble check or take damage.
Could be very simply modified from Morts Boulder Throwing game script
Could act like a guard wand
That would take too long in quests.
that would be cool as a general perk
Yes.
Should dwarves be included?
I  think player tool is the best implementation, because it allows use in combat.  You can throw allies to safety, or into the fray whether you're being attacked or not

Is this possible? Can it please be implemented in the future?

Bug Reports / Perk Bug: Flower Child
September 07, 2010, 08:51:31 PM
The Flower Child perk gives a PC two herbs, rather then one, but the second herb is considered an invalid ingredient for the New herbalism and alchemy script.

Could this please be fixed, thank you. :)

Bug Reports / Stargazer Village quest bugs.
August 27, 2010, 10:11:23 PM

NPC: Feena Wise One
Quest: Maintaining Balance(?)

My PC can recieve the quest, and add others to the quest.

The transition leading into the QA is broken and doesn't allow my PC to enter the QA.

Speaking with the NPC allows me to quit the quest.

Area: Starvillage
NPC: Elder Nagafa
Quest: Delivery - Lyacinth Bush item

The journal updates stating some one may need this ingredient, but when speaking with the NPC the dialogue doesn't recognize the PC is carrying the item it needs. The delivery remains incomplete.

Area: Starvillage
NPC: Huntress Lemuj
Quest: Fortress Vrazdn

The Huntress gives the quest to the party. When the quest is complete the journal updates stating completion. When the party speaks with the Huntress the option to close the quest and recieve reward is not given in the dialogue.

So the party was unable to recieve reward, but was able to close the quest by stating we cannot finish the quest.
