Bug Reports / Endless Spawn of the Orc Quest:
June 16, 2010, 09:08:29 PM
Today, four of us; Coltan Riggs (level 6), Muariko (level 5), Kethael (level 5), and Falathiel (level 6) did the orcs quest.

Towards the beginning, we were doing awesome. The spawns seemed to be at the right ratio, and we weren't getting an excessive load of shamans and berzerkers. However, after 30 minutes of fighting... we exhausted all of our supplies, and had lost three people to the quest. And after nearly 40 minutes, the warlord didn't even show.

We got a hold of LPFF (who was busy at the moment), and he stated this is a common bug of the quest, and to report this on the forums. So, I have.

Aulgrim was a blast to play. He was extremely high conflict, and got his hands in places he shouldn't have. You'd be surprised with what went on in his life, it was actually pretty damn interesting!

Thank you to everyone who played with him, made him who he was, and even brought him down. It was a blast, and I can't wait to play with you all on my next PC!

AULGRIM HJORVARD, SON OF THE MOUNTAIN

THE STORY OF AULGRIM HJORVARD

Here you see Aulgrim preaching to a half-orc about Auril and the other deities of Fury...

Here you see a small plot between Aulgrim and Mattias. Didn't expect that did you?

Epic roleplayed by a vigilante elf with spiders! That's too crazy for my taste! I say let's kill him! :P

Vergil and Aulgrim... a couple of love birds who never even kissed!

Vergil, Roddy, Rumpclaw & of course, Aulgrim, smoking up in Aulgrim's room. Ha. A great past time for such a blood-thirsty warrior!

You want to get shit done? You come see Aulgrim, see?

Staring down my rival...

Krador sleeping with the fishes after our duel to the death. Only a lucky streak of critical hits helped me beat him!

Caius, look, I'm just a little boy with a dream...

And you deny me? Blasphemy!

Hey Bailey, you ready for tonight? Just me and you. :D

I stripped this guy down to nothing, and gave him a very valuable shortsword... I made him swim for his life... I wonder if he even made it?

Rumpclaw... an unexpected ally, after being my most feared enemy! Kudos to you man.

Staring down the Stygian Arm- I mean, two Infantryman. Man, they need some more PCs, don't they?

Aulgrim was most definately in love. :]

The merciless mountain of mountains was actually merciful? How inspiring!

And finally, how he was repaid. :]

Suggestions / Call Lightning:
April 29, 2010, 06:54:55 PM
As we all know, the spell "Call Lightning" can only be used while raining - and, it comes with the hefty damage of 1d10/level.

In traditional D&D, you can use the spell without rain, dealing 1d6/level - and with rain, 1d10/level.

This suggestion is basically to give the spell a purpose outside of the rare occasion it does rain when you NEED it so it's not useless in your spell slot.

I suggest that we turn the spell into 1d6/level without rain, and 1d10/level with rain - or, if that is overpowering, 1d4/level without rain, and 1d10/level with rain.

Peregrinus Viktus, honestly, my most enjoyable character yet. I had a blast roleplaying with everybody in the Legion, and out. My hand rises up in kudos to everybody, and I mean everybody who helped make the Legion what it was. Many great battles, alot of crazy conflict, and most importantly, some of the most epic roleplay I've enter taken part in.

Leading a PC Faction isn't as easy as you think! However, it is extremely rewarding. :]

His first day of breathing upon Ymph, and his first meeting with Targus.

Given your charge, you can't back down!

It takes a pretty charismatic voice to... you know, persuade some "savages" into the blood legion!

Inducting a Legionnaire upon the grand altar of Targus...

We all gotta have fun, sometimes... ^.~ Look at that.

I grant to you, Legionnaire, a boon of the Reaver!

Bloodarch Viktus, and Legionnaire Skub praying to the altar of Targus.

The Bloodarch, and His Champions assembled upon the altar of Targus. A pretty epic site to behold, huh?

After a quick duel with the elven warband, they were force to give blood to Targus.

As a Bloodarch, you sometimes get teleported to a strange room, with very strange, horny individuals. >_>

And, if nobody knew, the Reaver turns his most devout into penguins of doom as an avatar of war.

And, often times, I'd recieve a vision from Garagos, and would preach it to the legion religiously.

Ah, the Targan Arena.

We always had people coming in and out of the Hovel, seeking our alliance. They only wanted us for our LOLWTFPWNz... :[

Standing before the war council of Targus must have been intimidating... I know Mumed was intimidated. ^.~

And alas, joining the Legion was pretty tough. We only accepted the best. By the way, see that portal? It always appeared when I got near it. >_>

BEHOLD! THE LEGION!

Thank you everyone! You'll see me around, hopefully doing some more epic stuff!

Suggestions / Lower NPC Levels:
December 08, 2009, 09:32:49 PM
All I'm really saying is maybe the NPCs have been alittle overpowered lately. I'm not certain what level your average Stygian is, but I would say I think it should be around 5-6.

NPCs represent what players cannot. Like the Stygian Armada NPCs. Those NPCs represent the whole armada, and should have an average level.

Players play character that go out and seek treasure, and do deeds unimaginable by common standards. A militiaman can literally be a peasent who joined arms in hopes to feed his family.

I think the level of military NPCs should be change to be between 5-6.

Introductions and Group Management / THE BLOOD LEGION:
December 07, 2009, 10:34:57 PM
THE BLOOD LEGION: "Lords of War"

The Blood Legion of Garagos is a chaotic, religious, military order. The Blood Legion of Garagos crusades across the land, slaughtering any foe it faces in the name of Garagos without mercy, and never passes the chance to spread the fear of Garagos by battle and example of superiority over any challenge.

The Blood Legion of Garagos causes chaos wherever possible, the faithful of Garagos believing that chaos and triumph in battle, piece by piece, aids in the revival of Garagos, and the restoration of his fullest divine power.

The Legionnaires that populate the Blood Legion are ruthless warriors, bent on advancing in the art of destruction and skill at arms. The Priests venturing the land, preaching His dogma, and recruiting men and women worthy of the Blood Legion into the ranks.

~ The goals of the Faction are primarily IG, and would be found out AFTER initiation (done in-game.)

ALIGNMENT: CE, CN, NE,
PORTFOLIO: Destruction, Slaughter, War, Plunder
CLASSES: (Perferably) Barbarian, Fighter, Ranger, Cleric, Rogue
DOMAINS: Chaos, Destruction, Strength, War

I play Peregrinus Viktus, a cleric of Garagos, and in the short time I've been playing my character I've had many great interactions with players, and some very memorable DM encounters. I'll truthfully say, playing a Garagosian has been extremely rewarding.

Not only is it rewarding, but the faction already has a base of operations (The Targus Shrine), limitless chances for epic roleplay, and already has a reputation upon Ymph, which I only wish to increase. Its been a lot of fun for me, now, who is willing to join in on the fun?

Suggestions / An Idea on Tracking:
August 08, 2009, 03:29:53 AM
I'd love to see something new implemented onto the server, regarding tracking.

Currently, you can type "/c track", and a list of creatures, size, and direction will be displayed in your combat log. The descriptions get more detailed the higher you roll above the given DC.

However, what I've love to see implemented is the ability to track a certain kind of creature. This would make the ranger tracking system work more indepthly - and, it would also aid in immersion since the new party system has been added.

Example: "/c track humanoid"...

If you hit the given DC with your roll, you'll be given the tracks of all humanoids in the area in your combat log.

Example: "/c track elf"...

If you hit the given DC with your roll, you'll be given the tracks of all elves in the area in your combat log.

Just an idea.
