Hello dear players!


I will be running a bit of an impromptu prelude tonight at this time.


The outline of this prelude is as follows:


You are located in a small settlement between the Western Heartlands and the North known as the Emberlands, aptly named so for the fire agate gems that are found in the region. As most of the surface world began falling to the conquering armies of the illithid, your character sought refuge in this remote village.

As the days grew more desperate you were eventually conscripted, willingly or otherwise, into the militia of Lord Vestmer Emberland. The settlement has thus far managed to survive by barricading itself from outsiders and avoiding any large-scale attention from the Dread Empire. How long that will last is uncertain, but the frequency of ambling thralls spotted by your scouts has recently increased.


Classes Allowed: Any standard class.


Alignments Allowed: Any.


Races Allowed: Any standard race. No subraces.

I am currently overseeing a plot which involves a number of items circulating in the game.

It has proven a bit more difficult than I had anticipated to keep track of everyone in possession of these items whilst juggling my own life and EfU, so this post is for the purpose of prompting anyone who holds a "Broken Branch of Melenyn'dir" to contact me.

This is so I can simply keep track of the items as the plot progresses, as well as answering any IC and OOC queries that may have arisen for you.

I am currently looking for players that are lacking main characters to participate in something I want to run.

These PCs will be of an evil and more or less chaotic nature, likely be involved in a deal of conflict which may escalate into PvP.

If this intrigues you I invite you to join channel #SisLaman on IRC, or alternatively if you are unable to come there send me a PM with the account names you are known under along with a list of your most recently played PCs.

As a bit of a disclaimer I will say that this concept is not for everyone and will in itself involve more hardships than benefits.

We are currently looking for players interested in playing PCs that for one reason or another have found themselves sentenced to prison (on the surface) some time before the release of Dendar.

This means we are looking for chaotic/criminal type of PCs, but creative concepts outside of those bounds may also be a possibility.

Send me a forum PM with a brief description of your character and concept - at the latest this friday the 25th. If it is suitable for our needs you'll be approached and given further details.

The troll dies for a final time and I must admit it is with some relief. I haven't had quite as cumbersome of a character in a long time.

Still it was a fine concept at it's core and I thank everyone I enjoyed myself with and the DMs that invested in it.

The spawn point at the Mound of Magnatz currently does not work.

First of all, some of his outstanding friends. (Sadly I do not have shots for all of you!)











And here's a trial he oversaw for a presumed cultist of Graz'zt, which ended up resulting in some rather stressful persecution for Baltaire himself with many trials and temptations thrown at him by the Demon Prince.









Something that greatly impacted his time on Ymph were the Mists Dragons, which sadly never reached it's full potential due to lack of time on my part.

Still, he somehow managed to meet all three, and enter into the service of one.













What we thought was the culmination of many things...





But instead... it meant he would finally complete his long overdue pilgrimage below the earth.

Something I've noticed more of lately is people selling the gear/rewards from the nature oriented gathering quests (or equivalents) to the general populace.

Without pointing any fingers, I myself have always been under the impression that this is a bad thing to do. These rewards and this equipment is tailored specifically to assist nature concepts (or others in similar situations) who are otherwise excluded from certain quests, allies and other conventional ways that would help supply a "normal" city dwelling character.

Not trying to tell anyone how to play their character on a case to case basis, but it may serve to think twice about who you're spreading this sort of gear to. In a way you could compare it to Ordermen selling their specific faction issued gear to others outside of their ranks.

Please discuss if you have thoughts about this, or if a DM would like to chime in with their views that'd also be most welcome.

The master earner has met his end, in a way most fitting of his dirty business.
