These two particular armor types are missing from the starting area. I'm not sure if it's been brought up before or not but while I know 'mechanically' it's not the strongest armor type it would be nice to be able to start with something that potentially fits someone's dex modifer.
There's chainmail in the starting vendor I'm pretty sure
There's a Chain Shirt but not Chain Mail/Scalemail. I mean the 5 armor 2 dex. I also noticed there's not Hide armor the 3 armor 4 dex as well for like druids.
I suggested this in EFU:R, there was supposed to be a breastplate added but it never happened. Little did I know the team was working on Rings which is likely the reason? I agree that a breastplate even if in poor shape would be welcomed!!
I definitely agree that more variety should be added
It's not the penultimate armor or anything but it helps if you build a character with only a starter dex of 14 or something.
