Since slings are the favoured racial weapons of halflings but no PC uses them as a main weapon on account of how weak they are, how about some Halfling Warslings sold by Stargazers?

A reinforced, heavy war-sling used by the Stargazers.

This puts it up there with darts or shortbows for a good hin weapon.
Slings cannot be keen.
They already get +1 ab to sling attacks, which isn't insignificant.
I'm surprised more halfling don't use them, unless there really aren't any decent slings around.

There are plenty of slings around.
Sling is currently the best possible halfling rogue weapon in the game egon, if most halflings are too silly to see that, thats too bad for them!
Throwing Axes are the best.

With sneak attacks and the halfling dex bonus, that's nice slinging.

You do understand that in low magic +1 ab that stacks with all other abilities (including size bonus) is an incredible thing? With a sling and size bonus a halfling has +2 ab, that means that a halfling rogue has the same ab as a FIGHTER, BARBARIAN or PALADIN.
Darts are 0.1 lb (5lbs per 50) sling bullets are 0.0lbs for 99. Some +1 damage bullets similiar to arrows would be nice however.
Throwing axes are 1 lb per axe and thus too heavy to carry more than 2 stacks, which is definitely not enough for a quest!
I do. I played a halfling Bard/rogue rapidshooter who buffed himself with Cats Grace and bardsong to some seriously sweet AB. He used a shortbow.
I get the point though, if you can't afford dart weight on a rapid shooter, Sling is the best weapon on a pure rogue I suppose, as the main point is sneak delivery, not pure dmg.
I take it all back. I just checked out Banks and remembered his sling collection. Since they weigh sod all, you can carry every sort of +AB sling you can find. I would like to see more drops of the Quality Sling that's Mighty +1 though.
