Summoned shadows (I'm guessing darkness domain summoning theme) don't have unarmed strike and so get attacks of opportunity against them with every attack.
I think shadows haven't had unarmed strike since all the way back to the Hoaran temple in EFU. The monster variety I mean, no idea about the summoned variety.
