My laptop took the hardest crash EVER last night - the power supply connection to the unit started smoking so I had to shut down N-O-W before I set the tablecloth on fire. Looks like I need to start shopping for a new laptop - the little plastic piece inside the barrel connector melted into slag :(
Hope things went alright after I bailed.
Anyone got any ideas on a good, relatively inexpensive laptop that will run NWN, Word, Acrobat, and Photoshop? My now defunct unit was an emachines 6800 series with a gig of RAM and an ATI video upgrade.

You should probably find something if you scour ebay or craigslist for long enough. And with any luck you may be able to salvage the ram and video card. Or just buy a mac...
