In the same vein as the "One Feature" post, I'd like to ask:
What is your favorite feature or aspect of EFUA?
For me it's definitely the community and playerbase. While running plots from the DM side, it's not uncommon for the players to think of options I hadn't considered, or even outsmart me outright in my plots. I feel I learn something from every plot or major event I run, and it adds to the challenge and value of the DM experience. I notice similar virtues while on the player client.
Guild/Banner system.
I love the herbalism and alchemy system. I don't even have a "Nature" PC at the moment, but from the little I've seen of it, it's very cool.
You don't need a Nature PC for those systems, but it helps if you know one to get the stuff for you :D.
For me, the little things. Small placeables like the Grunt's Diary in coral that just reads "DUUUHHHHHRR....", the pitfalls in the wild that port you to tunnels, bir nests, combat log descriptive messages. Stuff that makes the server feel like a world, not just a battleground.
You know what my favorite feature is?
The loot drop system.
I wubbz0r it.
Kill a badger, pick up its GUTS
Kill a fighter, pick up his rusty notched greatsword.
Woo yea.
That and the programmable spellguard animatrons that got used twice, but Arkov worked on for weeks.
What a guy.
He is sorely missed here (he was such a nice guy too x), but I suppose it's to the worlds benefit that he works on renewable energy sources and giant-army-robots than the FAMILIARS AND SUMMONS SYSTEM.
Oh err and in case Howland asks, it's not that stuff, but the community and friendship aspect I love. I swear. Honestly. It's the truth goddammit. >_> <_< yes, not the giant golems of death. I love all the people that play here and how they toil ever harder to get those levels simply so they can feel an inch taller at work. "What's that boss? Get you a coffee? Suuuure. (God I am glad that I have my level 10 cleric of bane to fall back on. That reminds me, gotta slaughter those annoying little Tormites tonight...)
I do actually like the noble/common setting, with patricians and the colony being under a powerful house's hand. It gives variety, and it has a lot room to play with.
the consistency of the game world i honestly find the most immersive i have ever played in by a mile. probably why i have stay so long.
Challenge. It's not ninja gaiden, but it's pretty entretaining.
The creative DMs.
I love the stuff they throw at us.
The ability to impact the world in big and small ways.
I have to say that the community is what I like the most of EFU:A. Plus, the fact that players can work on things in-game to reach a greater level of impact on the server as a whole.
Antagonizing the DMs.
Community, both players and DM's. I'd say my favorite moments in playing are when you have a real good natured group of players (OOC'ly I mean) doing a really exciting quest, no BS, help each other out, great RP, good story. That's my favorite time to play and that has everything to do with the people.
Simplicity of how it's run, from infrastructure to IC. I can cruise into EfU:A and have a good time with no stress.
That's what a hobby should be. Fun and more fun. EfU:A provides that.
EFUSRE
So many good things, but I got to say, I love playing with people, especially when it's with friends. really lightens the mood.
The DM humor is also very good.
Roleplay/Story's.
They actually occur here. Some of the plots are far better then any FR novel. I have played just about every MMO claiming to be a RP game, or RP server (WOW,anyone?) This is the sole reason why EFUA endures, it is as close to true PNP RP and DM/player interaction that you can have, short of being in the same room drinking high octane soda and eating pizza with 5 or so friends huddled around a piece of graph paper and some dice. Sometimes, the experience here is even better then old style PNP.
Killing a Cruzel PC.
DMs care what the players think, for the most part.
The fact that rare sub-races are rare but not unachievable, which makes playing one a euphoric feeling, however short lived they might be.
Need to amend something, one of my favourites is arena events, especially DM supervised, I always had a blast at watching those.
Being killed by a Cruzel PC.

x2
Drin got to have the Greycloak tome placeable with his quote in it. Arthan unwittingly unleashed the Green Animatron upon the city. Tarnis raided the Armory and provided, indirectly, the spellguard with all kinds of prototype animatrons.
its why I keep coming back.
The Doc D.
Even if I think hard, I'd have difficulty in finding something I actually don't like about EfU:A. But among all the awesome stuff, if I have to pick one, it is definetely the option to play flavoured characters, that does not need specificly to have good builds, and still be succesful.
((yeah, that dex based dual wield wild elf barbarbarian, could work))
The richness of history (much of it being created BY the players, too!) in the game that you can experience with an awesome community.
(See how I cheated and put two things in? So clever.)
The little things.... Such as Waylon Rulz written on a wall in lower, or searching through your pack for an ale, knowing you have none, then you find one anyway.
Peeper
oh wait :(
Kobolds!
Guild/banner system. I second the motion.
Quest system/mechanics.
The way you look tonight.
It takes my breath away.
DM striving to upgrade things all the time, from major stuff to the smallest details.
One thing that I just love about EFU:A is the Stygians. They are badass (they use Stygian Steroids. I've heard them called that before >.>), A DM made a specialist use a harpoon on string as a GRAPPLING HOOK!, and they are able to get off with just about anything.

I second that!
I've got to say -- surviving amazing spice DM quests, etc, pulling out all the tricks, and living.
The way it takes so long to level, and the huge toll on death(whether it be permadeath, 1/3 or 1/6 your XP) so when you're faced with a life & death situation you actually act like someone in that situation would
I always hated playing an FPS where people would just run & gun in, because they can just respawn
It should be known that I'm only here because someone told me there would be punch and pie. The punch and pie is definitely my favorite feature. Though I have not been given my punch and pie as of yet.
In the meantime, while I patiently salivate the days away, I've learned to enjoy the fact that players are able and encouraged to make such interesting multifaceted plots and characters. The content is nearly infinite and rarely boring. I also like that no aspects of the server have been designed without careful attention to detail. It just feels real.
You sure that promised punch and pie wasn't being punched, and smacked in the face with a pie? Kinda like, getting beat up, then humiliated? Because, I have to agree. Getting beat up and humiliated is my favor feature.
AceofSpades, get your ass IG
Lower.
The DMs.
I once had two scoundrels playing Cards in the Wastrel.
One goes "Hah! Five Aces, I win!"
one of many PCs present starts to call him a cheater, tensions start to run high.
The other goes, "Hah! You wish! Seven Aces! I win you dog!"
The DMs on this server crack me up.
I guess Noli isn't making pies anymore?
All these "Bring us the good stuff of the old setting" threads are missing the most important part...
The bearded dwarven chefs and the pie-addicted city officials.
There really is to much to list what is great about efu/efua. The gossip threads are magnificently written like a novel, and reflect player actions and plots. And the constant additions to the server in the smallest details make it even better each time you log on. Thanks to howland and crew for providing many meaningful evenings of solid entertainment. And thanks to mort for really rocking the toolset. It doesn't go unnoticed.
Healing kits!

How about a faction to replace the Order. A Fatass circus I say.
Excellent roleplayers who enjoy questing.
Honestly though, what I like most in EFU has always been the roleplay, the quest system and the community. (It is certainly more than one feature, but I equally put these features at the top of my list)
What I love most about EfU:A is that feeling you get when you're running a dungeon, out of healing, drained of spells, everyone starts arguing, then here comes a DM with a baddie to chase you all out.
There's a sense of survival and adventure here that you just don't get anywhere else.
