If you click the placeable again after taking the cloth, choosing the only option available in the conversation will result in the quest being moved to the completed part of your journal along with the messages "Quest System: You have already taken this quest" and "You were not part of this quest and will recieve no exp".
Edit: You can still finish the quest properly after this and receive the gold, but no exp.
Same thing for Delivery: Oranges.
