Title: Druids and Underwater Areas
Post by: FleetingHeart on August 16, 2009, 09:53:03 PM
I noticed that these areas count as 'wilderness' for some bonuses, but not for the bonus to hide and move silently.

Any chance this could be fixed? :-)

Staying sneaky underwater is impossible...

As long as you get a speed bonus it's cool though.

Tell that to the shark that sneaks up on you from above/below and takes a leg off.

Stealth underwater really is quite normal for many creatures that live there.

Quite the contrary, if you don't have a sonar it is more difficult see a enemy at distance in water

I think he meant mechanically, due to the movement speed decrease stacked on top of the stealthy 50% decreased speed.

Not to mention the bug in which druids move SUPER SLOW if they are underwater in wild shape. Need to have freedom up to stop it.

Well. There are some people that don't have issues with slow underwater.

It is clear what needs to be done. We need to give the sharks sonar devices.

And head mounted lasers.

But, in all seriousness, whether a person wants to stealth or not, it is a natural area. Typically druids would receive a bonus to stealth and tracking there.

Did you know sharks can feel the electricity within living things and use that to hunt?

+1324551 to spot checks while underwater and in shark shape.

They can smell a drop of blood from several miles away, too.

Anyway, to expand on this BUG report (as I truly believe it to be a bug, not a suggestion) The waters leading up to the undead island do not grant any druid bonuses. No AB bonus, no speed, no stealth.

The waters leading to the the diluvians grants no stealth bonus.

Yet, in both, druids can rest.

Also not being granted +2 AB in the starwood forest. I'll continue to update this as I find areas that seem to be broken.

I -think- the speed bonus is working, however. And the stealth bonus appears to be as well.

No AB bonus in the underwater area just outside the main gates.
