Title: Dwarf Merchant at Zig Camp
Post by: erglion on September 22, 2008, 04:08:47 PM
Alright, I'll stick my neck out on this one.  It may be intentional, but the dwarf will only give a max of 12 gp for any item.  I would think he'd at least offer Norma type prices for nicer items like scrolls or certain potions.

If the price limit is not a bug, one consequence is:  If you attempt to sell him stacked items of appreciable value, then he offers you 12gp for the pile or 12 gp each, if you unstack them.

I would assume the 12 gp limit is intentional, to keep GP low.

And, with my weird, self-destructive need for low-level, low-power servers, I support this fully.

He doesn't have a lot of gold to give you.  It's Tobar.  Cut him some slack.

But as erglion points out, the vendor will give you 12gp no matter how many items you may offer.

For example:

You have 5 potions of Aid, stacked together. If you sell the 5 potions to him in one shot, he'll give you 12gp.

If you seperate the potions and sell them alone, you get 12gp per potion.

I believe the intent of the post is to make it so the dwarf buys the 5 potions for the individual cost. Which.. I would agree with.

EDIT: Posted as the same time as Strife. Take it for what you will. heh

Nothing can be done about that. Feel free to unstack items if you want the GP value of each.
