Title: trap in gobsquat
Post by: Letsplayforfun on December 19, 2009, 01:21:00 PM
Probably not a bug, but i walked on a trap in gobsquat today between Hagga & magga's store and the tower of wizardy. It just seems weird someone posted a trap here in front of NPC guards (but of course, there are lots of reasons why it would make sense). Just figured i ought to mention it anyway.

Well, you know there's a bunch of traps by the gate.

I once fell into a pitfall at the Trog quest in the hall leading up to the boss room. Seems like a similar occurence.

yes, well the gate traps are local defenses. Traps inside the area where randomwalk() npcs might trigger them is something else.

Shouldn't the traps be friendly to goblins anyway? like the ones in the lower-tunnels were near the kobold camp back in the UD.

People cant put trap in public area without DM supervision. This trap was not part of the module.

It happens often, I thought it  was a squatters den's feature. Either between Hagga & magga's store and the tower of wizardy or in the way from Hanged Goblin to Sewers. The traps are always a minor spikes. I'd bet it's a bug, doubt anyone would systematically place traps there in the same places so often.

This sounds rather entertaining and funny.  A trap the goblins keep setting up and setting off themselves that the DMs can't even find.

It does keep an edge to the town ;) Bloody goblins, i'm sure it's Spittlefire doing it.
