There seems to be a bit of a bug that's started with EfU:A regarding PC statuses. Whenever you transition, random status boxes disappear, making it seem as if they are no longer applicable. As in, say your PC is invis ... you'll transition and the little status box for invis will disappear. You'll make some action or another transition and it will reappear. I've seen it happen with various buffs and statuses, and even once or twice with disease and poison. There's not really a pattern to it save that it's generally going through a transition that triggers it.
Obviously this can be very disconcerting and make some definite changes to what actions you take.
I don't think this is an Efu:A problem, but a bioware one. Check your character sheet, scroll down all the way to the bottom of it and it shows every variable to your character.
It's only started since the move to EfU:A. So it wasn't an issue that happened in EfU or immediately after the 1.69 upgrade. And it's not just something that has happened with my PC ... it's happened with others.
And while yes you can check the bottom of your character sheet, there's situations where time is of the essence and taking the time to do such is not advisable.
It happened in EFU. It happens in every module.
You just got lucky and it didn't happen to you/ you didn't notice it.

Relinquish and Cruzel are right, this has happened to me ever since I've been playing NWN on remote servers.
