I currently have two plus one armour AC items. My base AC is 13, so they should push it to 14 (as they dont stack, I know). However my AC is only 13. If I take one of the items off, it springs back up to 14.
I tested it with rats in the sewers, and the AC is not a character sheet error, my AC really does go down with both on.
There is somekind penalty thing going on with that.when you stack two armor giving item, it attempts to remove one, but it is confused and removes both instead of just one, because it can't decide which one to give penalty for.
It's been said few times in past, not sure if it was intentional or not. Can't remember.
Armor AC has been changed to only use the highest AC. Any armor with AC (including cloth with +1 AC bonus or +4 AC from mage armor) and +1 AC bracers do not stack. If you're armor has no AC and you wear the +1 AC bracers, then it will apply.
This is purposefully done and has been on the server for years now.
He is speaking of an odd bug where wearing 2 effectively cancels them both out, especially annoying when cool robes and cool bracers have other effects.
The only cure is not to wear two :( ask a DM to remove the AC bonus on one of them?
We are talking about +1 armor class bonus, on either armor or bracer, which increase the total armor class to 4.
He has two items that give +1 to ac, and his armor gives 3 ac, seemingly. He should have +1 ac from one of them items, giving him 14 ac, he is bug reporting because when he wears the other item that happens to give +1 ac among other things, removes the other +1 bonus he has on top of the normal restriction.
13 + 1 + 1 , should restrict it to max 14 ac, but instead it goes back to 13 because of two times +1.
What you are saying nufferz is true, but not related to this bug.
Oh that sucks then!
This bug is real, indeed. No guarantees on a fix. :(
In the mean time, I've had success by having people unequip all offending gear and DM killing/raising them.
If this persists for you, just find a DM. We are always glad to ki... help.
