Obviously a very trivial bug at this point: I used nightshade, and cast a spell. I got the message of "a strange tingling" and then a magic eater showed up.
I don't recall Abjurer's Nightshade EVER failing in the underdark, so it seems possible something went awry with the script at some point.
I told you assholes I used nightshade that one time.
LIES
I like how surface PCs somehow know what magic eaters are and how to possibly avoid them. Underdark history books and travel guides must be a dime a dozen these days!
I'd expect the merchants of the Underdark to be more than eager to explain their wares >_>
There is a large library of UD books, I do recalled in the Syndicate! Also after being raped by them you would probably ask a merchant about them or someone? I would think!
I agree with Strife. Just because he looks so cool in that hat.
[fist-bump]
I love after-the-fact roleplaying justifications.
I love the whole world, and all its crazy things. Boom de yada-
i love how strife just wants to troll this thread!

Quite a few in our group never even saw the underdark oocly and I personally grabbed this thing after reading it's description, which would be ICly explained or told by the merchant. Huge issue though, I know.
Vanilla for the win.
