I have found out that unlike other races dwarf fall a bit short on quick XP for level 2 through 4 being that they cant get into the Gobsquat (costing them at least 4 quests I can thinnk of). Making it a bit slower to get to 5th level than other races. So maybe a dwarf only quest could be added someplace that could make up for this disadvantage.
Just a thought...
Drow PCs need more delivery quests IMO.
Having played one for a fair bit i can honestly say that dwarves are pretty strong on surviving on EFU:A, due to their very useful natural stats and perks. I think this more than makes up for a very slight disadvantage xp wise early on.
And really apart from evil ones very few neutral/good dwarves should/would be going to Gobsquat anyway...
I think everyone are well settled for getting XP early on. The only ones who aren't would be monster PCs and some Stargazers.
them poor dwarves
Dwarves are fine. besides, it isn't -that- big of a loss. Just do the non-Gob quests
(besides, your dwarf probably shouldn't be doing anything for Gobsquat anyways)
I think some of you missed the point. I didn't say dwarves should go running to the squat to help the goblins. Even if they could get in (
which they can't) they have the issue of not (
or shouldn't) being able accumilate XP as fast as other (non-app) races.

And if dwarves are such a bonus/perk race then maybe they should be made an app race like the app drow. <(
this is sarcasmn, I'm joking!!!)
It's not just Dwarves who shouldn't be in the Squat. It would be a good idea IMO to have the Rat Meat Peddler in the Docks buy Rat Meat. That quest is a good one for lowbie combat PCs, encourages PCs into a dangerous area and can help low level PCs get decent gear or the supplies they specifically need.

Dwarves probably ought be ECL+1 as it is. <.<;
It's not about being fair and square. I'm quite sure they are fine doing those.. around dozen quests available to get to 3, and those one or two less availabe to 4.

Yes! Those poor folks in the docks have got to eat too, you know? You can't live off fish alone!

What, only 1?
It's not just dwarves that lose out on Gobsquat, most elves and paladins probably won't go there and to be honest it's fairly easy to level up without those quests.
I can get to 5th level in 4 to 6 hours with any other race (short of those that wont come into the Zig at all). With my dwarf I have to wait through resets to get to 5th.
Anyway, it was just a thought. Guess it was a bad idea.
ok, how about simply having a way for a dwarf to get a tower shield made available. Even if it's an expensive one. Dwarf's are a race that would actually use them (maybe).
That is already suggested elsewhere. If in a little broader of a suggestion with regard to equipment merchants. Originally in efu:a the main source of equipment was the few quests and the goblin smith. Since there was no Tobar or other merchants. I'm sure its just an oversight.
Perhaps have Mayron Grey give one away when you do his quest.
Grey tower shield
Masterwork tower shield
-10% weight
This would put one out there that alot of people would for sure not want yet be able to possibly sell it to those that do want one.
