Did the purple crystal mine today. Our elemental protection did nothing to stop the acid arrows.
You sure they didnt just tore through it so fast that you didnt even notice it gone ?:) Happened to me a few times.
Pretty sure since certain traps afterwards told us we still had full amount of elemental protection points left afterwards.
Yes when we exited and steped on the *Spoiler* I soaked some sonic damage. And no I do not have any soak sonic damage items.
The arrows they use are only acid vs dwarves.
Umm they cearly do acid damage to humans also.
I've had three characters with the ability to use elemental protection go in that quest since they changed it and I feel really stupid that I never noticed this until you pointed it out.
I've even died from those damned things and it still never occurred to me that I shouldn't have been taking acid damage. Must be that other kind of acid.
I am telling yo Lulzebub that I took acid damage. It was green numbers in the combat window. And after the fight my tiny protection spell was still fully charged.

They used the same bolts, I swear- I never did it with a dwarf PC and never took acid damage, though I've seen dwarf PCs take it.
The monsters on that quest are identical to the ones on duergar fort. Less the clerics. Never taken acid damage from them as anything but a dwarf. Probably should have taken a screenshot of it happening whilst you have the elemental resistance up.
How does him saying he takes acid damage on this quest somehow manage to get corrupted into him lying about not being a Dwarf or something? Regardless of what the bolts do damage against it's pretty poor taste to openly accuse him of lying without actually testing it yourself beyond "I remember when I did a different quest in the UD".
I've done the purple crystal quest multiple times. What he's saying happened is impossible via the engine barring a bug that has never been seen in the history of nwn.
A screenshot would confirm 100% certain that he did in fact have elemental resistance up and that there is a bug.
