Goes without saying...but I think they could use one!
Yeah, probably. The amount of people who actually use these though is basically zero, so its not a top priority.
It's a chicken and egg thing, people would probably be more inclined to donate if visible changes were made more frequently.
Amber set a few coins on the "Beggar's Plate" and it vanished just like it would in a donation bowl. Though it didn't run the tally that the bowls do when I have my PC's donate to them.

Guess I'm odd man out again, I do have my PC's donate to their church if there is one for their god, (
Olo Sandybanks was at like 600 or 800 donated to the Jannath temple). I always assumed that the DM's could see when PC's donated. If this isn't the case could it be added to the donation system so the DM's know this sort of thing. Maybe even work out an XP per X amount of gold donated, (
1/10 or something minutely silly)? IMO it should make a dif for the PC and the DM's. It shows the PC's put their money where their mouth is.
Bumping this.
I've been leaving a lot of coin in front of father michael of late and it keeps getting stolen by newbs. I think the total is somewhere around 1200 now.
We can sort of use this, please.
EDIT: Besides, Paladins of Ilmater will have no where to tithe the obligatory 10% of their earnings to!
While you're at it, the temple of Umberlee needs one, too.
I'd suggest a donation bowl and also a "food barrel" trashbarrel item to trash food items into. PCs often leave food on the floor in the Ilmateri temple.
Seconding both of these. I would be more inclined to donate to the Church if it wasn't just going to be picked up off the ground by some newbie looking for a quick score.
Donate your coins to Ilmateri PCs and let them make use of your donation.
It's ilmateri pcs that want it put in, but yeah it would be a good way to demonstrate how you are helping without needing a DM.
