Ok this quiz was linked from my local elections page...fairly amusing.
I'm a Reality-Based Intellectualist (liberal obviously).

A shame they didn't have a quiz for moderates.

I scored as a "Peace Patroller", or neo-hippie. (Even though I'm old enough to be an original hippie.)

I know what you mean though..it's a little sad how polarized our country has become. I wonder if (in the long term) it will lead to some sort of crazy Coastal vs Midwestern civil war?
