There are days, fellow EfU:Aers that I fear I take things too far with my ideas. However this is not one of them :D. Scripting this would of course lead to half of Ymph falling flat on their arse every day as new bards tried it, so instead maybe we could move it to the DM questions forum? I'd love to know if I could do this with DM supervision.
I always figured the sending system was a mental conversion deal. If that were the case, it'd probably result in a lot of static and equipment damage.
I thought this was going to be something sensical like suggesting sonic based spells like Silence be modified to temporarily disable hearing sendings in certain areas.

That would be somewhat difficult him to do to a Medium size PC. Does Fredoc Hedger have a stepladder now? XD. My joke taken a bit too far aside, Silence could be used to block a sending if it was allowed to be cast on the Horn I suppose but wouldn't last long. You'd just need a PC who'd RP it. I know once I was desperate for a Silence scroll for my first Bard to use to shut up a PC prone to making bad speeches. Advertised for one.

Would it work though? bear in mind we all just carry totems which act as a catalyst. therefore wouldn't the spell effect the totem not the players? sorry for being a buzz killington here haha
You know, if the nightrisers took controll of the mythalar chamber, and they casted sound burst repetedly into the sending sistem, they would eventually kill all the PC/NPCs with a ziggurat totem...
