So, tried to come back, but every time I start NWN on win 7, it crashes to the desktop. If I play with the cd in the drive, and boot the game from there, it works sometimes, but still crashes after a random amount of time. This is a new tower, with win 7 on it already. I am sure someone had issues like this when win 7 came out, but I cannot find a thread with it in it. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this should be in another section, feel free to move it if need be.

This might resolve your issues:
-On the shortcut to the game, right-click and go to "Properties..."
-Click on the "Compatibility" tab
-Toward the bottom, under 'Privelege Level', check "Run this program as an administrator"
-Do the same for the nwn.exe and nwnmain.exe files in your NWN folder
Sounds simple enough, but this fixes 90% of the problems I've seen when trying to run NWN under Win7
I run Win7 and play OK. I shortcut the nwmain.exe to the desktop, right clicked and "Run as administrator". Worked OK that way.
I've always installed nwn on windows seven normally, and it has always worked. I've installed it couple times on ultimate, and now currently running it with Windows 7 pro.
