Heard this from a few people as a joke but it sounds really fun and interesting. A hard mode would be an old quest (probably 6+) and it would be available for people at level nine. This kind of stuff would be a post game for people who are lv 9+.
Imagine it as:
- Same area and place, same boss, same main stuff
- WAY more mobs, all mobs get power boosted.
- Much harder obstacles
- A chance to find: 'Good' quality loot
However, these quests would not drop xp as a setback (I am sure that people do not want to see a bunch of level 12 guys destroying the server. level 9 is good enough)
Also perhaps the death penalty for these quests is lowered? To make up for no xp gain
Level 10 PCs can't gain XP anyways, so if they give XP it is fine IMO.
I like this suggestion. I like to do, for instance, granary gobs, even when i'm a level 7 character. It also PCs not to be divided because the lower levels need to quest and the others are too high to do anything other than orcs II.
