So, there's a bunch of cool quests I've never done on EFU, and cool things I've never obtained.
Coral Cove, Sunken Enclave, returning to Underdark, and more, Alive. Things I've always wished to pursue but never had the abilities or means to accomplish.
As a result I've decided to form the "Get RwG level 11" mercenary company. (Change in name pending).
Frankly I'm more or less at my breaking point. I've taken a lot of breaks from EFU in the past when things like this spiked up and irked me, but now I thought i'd try something different since taking time off doesn't fix the problem.
I hate questing. It's boring for me, and if I wanted to grind quests I'd play WoW. However, Questing is a sad and constant truth of EFU. No matter how hard I try to avoid it.
In a perfect world I'd be level 8 or more with enough gold and supplies to keep my henchmen PC's outfitted, and the world would be happy and beautiful.
But no.
Not on EFU.
I die, and as a result I go "...Wow. Fuck. Now I have to quest again".
So here's the deal-
PC Mercenaries are never really organized so I'd like to put together a company of them. The main goal is simple. Perform numerous and varying feats of epic adventure. Scour the Underdark, Sail into the Mist, Delve into the uncharted netherese ruins.
I need a badass squad of people who can buff, crush quests, rule boss fights, laugh in the face of Dragons- While I sit in the back, invisible and healing you or simply idling and sipping on mai-thais watching movies on the internet while we quest.
I need a group so awesome I can quest leech my way to level 11.
If I were not busy, I'd jump aboard.

I wholeheartedly disapprove of this concept, and advise any and all players to ignore this topic.

Getting a bunch of people together, working on getting their stats set up so that they compliment each other, and having them go on quests and have fun?!!?!??!?! That's like... a crime, dude, and something that has NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE! Everyone ignore it! [/sarcasm]

Simply wasn't the finest two hour day of EFU:A I've had. One of those times you log in, shit happens, log out for a bit, log in again, more shit happens, then you flail your arms and go "Why am I even doing this!? Masochism!?".
I'm certain the mood will pass. Just seemed like a more creative way to vent my frustrations than the usual forum rant, IRC rant, etc. (Though I would really like to see Underdark and live to tell the tale <_<)
Plus that's a good sign to retire for the evening and delve into those sweet, sweet RL activities.

Roll a Wizard or Cleric Buffbot. How do you think i've gotten to lvl 8 and 5k+ gold?
The idea of a highly professional paramilitary adventuring company is something i've toyed with though, a sort of new Black Hundred, focused around Red Knight. Warscreamer + Battlemarch Song, just need me a bard.

RwG I am feeling the same bit and wouldnt mind seeing the world about of efu- Playing a paladin is fun and great but when you cant do 90% of the things you normaly can it kinda blows.
So If you want to make an elite group of mercs to go about and do mercy things. You have my support 100% hit me up with a pm if you'd like me to join.
And before I get a stigma for being a power quester-
I know it isnt RwGs thing to powerquest and no matter what happens he will still spam posts and sendings about what happens and we will be a great company threw rp and questing.

Well, if you want to roll this i'll join you. Personally i love questing (mostly) when we do varied, challening quests (Not trogs + Harpies + gnolls then repeat after reset) Wich i assume is what you are looking for. Besides, the mercenary company can surely be hired for other things while we sistematically clear all the quests on the server, who knows? Send me a PM if you're rolling this, i might even drop my concept due to the lack of PCs to play with.
Additionally, if you want to make a mercenary company focused more on non-quest RP, i can join you as well.
