Looking around the list of EFU prestige classes and such I noticed there are not many that truly tap into the awesome of EFU.
I think it'd be very cool to have a unique, Ymphian,"Tribal" heavy PRC that Barbarians could take somewhat akin to what the Bloodmage did for Sorcerors.
I'm not familiar with any of the canon DND prestige classes for Barbarians but I honestly think it would bring a lot of flavor to this class typically seen as nothing more than "CRUSHBOTS" to most folks.
Frenzied Berserker (//%22http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Frenzied_Berserker%22), for instance! But yes, a nice PrC for the barbarians would be great.
If you went with something tribal I'd say that would need to be only for characters with more "primitive" concepts, so you don't have an "angry fighter" concept taking it.
But I love playing angry fighters and I hate playing tribals. :/
Not sure I see the merits in making a frezied berserker. I mean.. That's just a barbarian really. Not really on-par epic with a blood mage. (No offense Capricious.)
I suggest something like "Mist Warrior" as a barbarian prestige. Barbarians that can tap into the power of the mist.
We have a number of amazing custom PRCs already thought out and listed on the DM forums (one of them is barbarian themed). Unfortunately implementing them is incredibly difficult without a hak, and even then quite bothersome from a technical standpoint. :???:
Could something be implemented the way that Ruby is? Not actually a class you take levels in, but something that functions alongside the standard NWN class system?
I like the idea of "Mist Warrior", but I think it could have a better, more interesting name.
If anything, an item could be given, similar to the 'darkness' ability of tiefling - just an item, that weighs nothing, that you can use to represent your mist power, etc.
Decimate has about the best idea IMO, something related to the mist would be awsome.
Mist powers exist already, so... Also barbarians are insanely strong so a PRC that buffs them more is a bit silly.
SALT RAIDER had nothing to do with tribals.

Hide your salt.
Sorcs are pretty badass, too. Let's not talk about what's too strong, as things that are stronger than most tend to have higher requirements for the quality of RP expected from one. I think that mist powers for barbarians is nice, personally.
The Mist powers excist, as do many other things, as Plum said. It's just about actually seeking such and earning it through RP like Nightshadow mentions.
Edit:
I am pretty sure all these things, that you would need to write app for can also be things you can app and chase for anyhow, without there being PrC. Nothing is stopping one from using the same time to discuss with a DM about idea and then just constantly going after it in game. There were part of us who did and earned some for it.
1. barbs, like, totally need a prc, man.
2. mist?
3. ?????????
4. Profit
Guys no 4chan references
barbarian CoT's, bro
Barbarian Champion of Stigandr
I love this idea. Barbarians are one of my favorite classes and this would defenatly make them even more interresting.
Plum you say that this will make them more powerfull? I dare say that you need to be lvl 8 barbarian to truely unlock their power, and if you multiclass with something you will loose out on some of the "standart" barbarian powers.
I'd download a prc hak tbh.
I'm down to download prc haks. Hell, I'm down to download any optional haks. I'm sure no one is going to complain if they have to download something to be a certain something. And the ones that don't care, don't download. >_>
Hacks are different from overrides, if the server has any hack, no one that doesn't have that hack can play on it. What you mean is an override, and that is optional.
Mind you, if EFU:A had hacks, i wouldn't have come here in the first place.
