Title: Conclave spell-dueling room
Post by: tropic on September 30, 2010, 01:45:32 PM
I suggest that the NPC be moved out of this room, otherwise he can be hit by an errant spell and go hostile. Also, the Conclave could do with a few unnamed NPC Consorts and Caliphars on the first level.

The NPC casts one spell every time you kill someone's summon in the Duelist Room, up until the point where he starts to cast Shape Change: Dragon to CrUSh YOu!! It hasn't really been a problem so far, because he starts with spells of Resistance. But I have felt his scorn, before. I wouldn't like to see him removed, and it's not a big deal, but if he could be isolated by some wall, that would be something.

Add to that: I would not mind a little representation of our numbers myself

I tend to agree.  On my Caliphar I was always afraid to use my area effect spells because of this NPC.  Since duels are important, or were when I was in the Transcendant Conclave, perhaps moving him a bit?

What about a dialogue option to make him "prepare to protect himself", having the effect of making him temporarily invulnerable, never turn hostile, and maybe this is a bit much but-- automatic countdown from 10 to 1?
