I still can't figure out how these forums work. I need to get out of some old player factions for instance, but don't know where to get out. I looked and looked, but I'm either stupid or... something, I don't know. Perhaps some sort of "Forum Basics" could be added to the New Players Section.
I'm not sure it's possible to remove yourself from a faction if you were manually added; I only remember a "Leave Group" option available for publicly joinable groups, when I was fooling around with vB.
It's not acceptable to allow public (automated) joining of factions because people could join (automatically, without supervision) then read all the faction's secrets, and quit without anyone except Strife or Johannes being able to prove that you did it. So, you have to be manually added. And that means you have to be manually removed. :(
Which reminds me: SCOTTY! Would phpBB3 be a better alternative?
I suggest a thread for requesting forum changes then, so we won't have to track down the DMs few DMs that can do it. It'll save everyone's time!
