This was posted already before, but the part of examine mark that tells you how much gold the target has, is broken. Instead it tells you how much the person using the tool has.
I don't know much about scripted but I suspect it's a simple goof on a few numbers.
If you try to examine mark someone that is out of your line of sight, the target gets the message "You cannot examine what you cannot see."
The gold amount still tells you how much gold you, the examiner, has.
The dialogue that says "He" or "She" has X to X listen/spot skills always says the gender of you, the examiners, race.
This is still showing your own amount of gold.
