Title: Anderson's Auxiliaries
Post by: Egon the Monkey on February 28, 2011, 06:08:24 PM
Something I'll be building up in the next couple of weeks, a PC faction to support and lead into the Conclave.

Want to play a Consort but there's not a free Caliphar to bond with?
JOIN THE AUXILIARIES!
Can't dedicate your character to a DM faction or dual concept but still want in on sweet mystery plots?
JOIN THE AUXILIARIES!
Want to duel regularly and learn what some of the more esoteric devices and spells on the server do in a punchup?
JOIN THE AUXILIARIES!

The idea of Anderson's Auxiliaries is that PCs who are interested in joining the Conclave but are held up by IC reasons have some official link to their soon-to-be comrades. Or for PCs with a "conclave loyalist" attitude who might not necessarily sign up as a faction member for whatever reason. Adventurers based in the Conclave's civilian camp, for example. A big aim is to add some more activity to Conclave territory than merely the DM faction hanging there.

It'll offer the chance for players who are put off by the "bodyguard" role of the Consort to get some PVP practice in in an arena, but in deliberately unbalanced or unusual fights rather than no potion spars. Potential mages get the chance to show their use, alchemically-inclined PCs are definitely welcome and would be supported by Alvin with getting reagents, information and protection while they work. I'd really like to see a bard involved for cooperation/rivalry. Members will get priority from the Conclave (or at least anyone close to my guy) for plots etc.

Yes, I know there's a lot of factions flowing about, but that's one reason I'm making my PC's aim known OOC. The Conclave doesn't engage indirectly with PCs by having ally factions as much as the Duchy does with Loyalist groups or the Docks with gangs. Let's change that. It will be fun! There will be musical accompaniment!

Recommended alignment:
Non-Evil, or Evil without a prediliction for undead/demons.

Eaten by a Dragon? We Can Help! Since apparently more of the Conclave have died to a dragon, we have openings. We also have unfulfilled plans to build big damn weapons. :D
